The good news is that's his carear finished

Walked out on the club half way through a historic season for Leicester.

Came back to rebuild his carear and reputation probably with the plan to get one final chance in England or abroad. Has played shocking turgid posion football and now this embarrassment.

No one in England cares if he wins the league or a treble. His next move was dependent on doing well in Europe. Unless he wins the Europa he's done. Atleast there's that.

Yang and Forrest shouldn’t be starting in the year 2025. However what other options existed?

He sounds done which is a worry given we arent going to strengthen enough and he isnt going to walk or be sacked. We are basically hoping that rangers are so bad the league becomes a walk because it feels like all energy has been sucked out of the club until he moves on at the end of the season

It was insanity by Rodgers starting with Forrest and Yang, and keeping them on for 70 minutes was just incredible levels of incompetence.

I'm willing to bet numerous posters on this Board could have got us through those two games with Kairat comfortably.

i totally agree he's a big part of the blame for losing this tie. He got it wrong.

We're 6 points ahead in the league already though and the transfer * isn't really on him.

I'm not crazy optimistic given the football we're playing, but I'm hoping that the silver lining of all of this is that we see a new right winger and striker come in this week, along with Balikwisha. The board owe us now. If we get that I'll feel better. If not? We limp on and hopefully get a league title

Id have loved us to go with the top option, but I would have accepted any of the other options.

I know he's limited but he didnt need to go with Yang AND Forrest from the start.

Yang cost more than that whole Kaibat side. Our subs cost many times more than theyve spent in their entire history.

This was on the players and rodgers tonight regardless of how useless the board are

Board can get * but it doesn't mean Rodgers should get let off. In my life maybe outwith Artmedia Bratislava worse results in Europe in my life.

Blame is with the board as far as I'm concerned. Flooding the squad with £1m - £2m project players hoping they get an O Reilley or Frimpong. Put it this way, if we had Kyogo, Kuhn and Jota as our front 3 tonight and last week too, I'm pretty sure we would have opened up that mob. Instead it's Yang and Forrest. That's not on the manager..it's on the board. Get them to *. I'm sick and tired of just being better than the huns

Come on with the Yamada stuff. I think Yang is nowhere near good enough but his cameo last week made him best of a bad bunch to start.

Maeda was always going to start, no way on gods earth Idah could or should have been there.

Then it’s the case of do you sacrifice Nygren where he has been playing well? Hard one

But my point is that this forward line is the worst I’ve seen at Celtic since the Mowbray days. Scandalously bad.

The price of a player doesn’t indicate their level. It doesn’t matter that Yang cost more. Rodgers didn’t buy him and he certainly never bought him as a first choice winger.

I agree but realistically unless there is massive boycott (never going to happen) then we're pretty much stuck with them.

Their level was also pretty poor. Solid unit, well coached. Hoaching on the ball though. As were we.

Rodgers spent 11m on Engels and 9m on Idah and didn't start either of them. He spent 6m on Trusty and has preferred Scales. He definitely carries some responsibility from the recruitment side too. I wouldn't trust him with money.

    * resign with dignity. Either go to * war with board or * off with shame trying to be diplomatic.

Rodgers will get stick for this result no doubt, but as a manager I think he’s earned some trust in his judgement. Canny pick a good front line from that steaming pile of *.

If there was clearly a better option I think he would have used it, easy to say now after Yang and Forrest had a howler

You’re in cloud cuckoo land if you think the manager of Club Brugge is going to do anything other than pish himself laughing when Celtic come and try and speak to him.

We’ve got a quality manager but for whatever reason the board have no interest in backing him, and let’s be serious he’s only here because of his personal tie to the club.

He shouldn’t, and won’t be absolved of any blame tonight, he takes as much as anyone, but he’s working with at least one hand tied behind his back under our * show of a board and are now relying on him not jumping ship otherwise there is potential for a complete and utter disaster of a season.

I’ve been a vocal supporter of his, and still am but it’s now safe to assume there is literally no chance of him being the manager beyond next season.

Their defenders looked out on their feet in extra time. The movement and pace of Yamada or Kenny would have troubled them. Instead they got an easy ride from a half fit, lazy dud
