Is there actually anything on the Erabi links?

I like the look of him, reminds me of GG an awful lot. Only just gone 22 also, available at a modest fee so plenty of potential there. If we get him, Balikwisha and a quality right winger I'd be happy.

My expectation is Balikwisha, Sarrachi and a deadline day loan deal though.

Also when we have a second left back, I expect they will play quite a lot. The weekend before Europe you'll likely see them play, and often come on with 20-30 minutes to go.

Inamura is really the type of player that should have come in January to bed in and see if they are good enough to be back up. Right now he probably needs a loan as I don't see him playing ahead of Trusty, Scales or Pusey at centre back.

I can understand the point you’re making, but what makes you sure Inamura isn’t ready for that? He hasn’t looked out of place in any game he has played so far. Domestically, he looks an ideal backup.

Celtic will make at least three signings before the transfer window closes next week – possibly four if Michael Gannon's 'sneaking suspicion' proves correct.

That's the view of our man in Almaty who told Celtic fans what they can expect as he toured the Kazakh city live on our social media channels.

Brendan Rodgers and his team are in central Asia for tonight's Champions League crunch where they are looking to become the first Scottish team ever to win in Kazakhstan.

They'll need to if they are to avoid the ignominy of demotion to the Europa League, having failed to break the deadlock in a 0-0 stalemate with the minnows at Parkhead.

The sky-high altitude and even higher temperatures make it an uphill battle for the Hoops but the hosts are up against it too with five key players missing.

Whatever happens in Kazakhstan this evening though, Celtic fans will be demanding a signing – or four – before the window closes this time next week.

Winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha looks a dead cert to be next in the door with a £4.5m deal all-but rubber-stamped. Then it will be left-back Marcelo Saracchi on a loan deal from Boca Juniors.

Will there be more beyond that? In a word, yes.

Gannon told fans on our Facebook Live stream from Almaty: "I asked Brendan Rodgers about Celtic transfers (on Monday) and he burst out laughing. But he said he hoped he'd have one or two in later in the week.

"That's about as strong as you get from Brendan Rodgers, so I'd expect them.

"Balikwisha is pretty much done and dusted, and thank goodness that saga is over and done with.

"It looks like Saracchi is close, a loan with an option to buy after a year. Tierney has been outstanding but hasn't done 90 minutes yet, he's only done that twice in two years. He has to build himself back up.

"I have no doubt there will be more signings. I expect Balikwisha, Saracchi, and one more winger."

But even that might not be the end of it.

Daizen Maeda has been loosely linked with a move away all window and our man has a gut feeling that interest might just ramp up in the final seven days of the window.

And if it does, he expects that to trigger a move for another out-and-out No.9.

He went on: "There's a sneaking suspicion there's some interest in Maeda. He loves living in Glasgow, he loves it at Celtic, so he's not banging any doors down.

"But he's 27, he's got to be thinking about his next big move. It would need to take serious money, because you're not just losing one player, you're losing two or three players.

"If they are to consider that, they need at least one more winger. If they keep Maeda, they can get away with two wingers; if they sell him, it's two wingers and a striker."

Celtic have sealed a double swoop by landing attacker Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Marcelo Saracchi ahead of Sunday’s Rangers showdown, writes Michael Gannon in Almaty.

Record Sport understands the deals are DONE with the pair scheduled to undergo medicals in Glasgow on Wednesday before hooking up with the Hoops squad to build up for Ibrox.

Long-term target Balikwisha will arrive in a bumper £5million move from Royal Antwerp while left back Saracchi will land on a one-year loan from Argentina powerhouses Boca Juniors

Celtic had explored an option to buy clause but the 27-year-old defender – who faced the Hoops when previously starring for RB Leipzig – had already agreed an extension to his current contract with Boca.

Saracchi will arrive a vital loan cover for Kieran Tierney as the Parkhead favourite builds his fitness following an injury-hit couple of seasons.

While Balikwisha will provide much needed threat in the forward areas, with the Hoops being left short of wingers following the £17m departure of Nicholas Kuhn and the long- term absence of crocked Jota.

Celts had been tracking the 24-year-old Belgian for more than 12 months – and were in the running to land him last summer until injury scuppered the moved.

But Brendan Rodgers had finally got his man – and he is expected to go straight into the squad for Sunday’s Premiership clash at Ibrox.

The Hoops boss will return to Glasgow immediately after tonight's Champions League clash with Kairat Almaty and is hoping to land at least TWO more new signings before Monday’s transfer window deadline, with a striker and another wide man top of his shopping list.

So Balikwisha and Sarrachi both in. Wonder who the third or fourth might be.

Glad the Andy Irving chat has faded

Still think we’ll bring in a RW and striker.

    Mark Henry on Substack

Celtic target Calvin Stengs has chosen his next destination after being permitted to leave Feyenoord on loan.
The Dutchman, 26, was on the Hoops' radar and they even reached out to the player's representation to learn his circumstances and potential salary requirements.
Of course, that is a common business practice for clubs these days and Celtic never officially made an approach for the winger to his club despite initial interest.
Now the attacking wide man, we understand, will leave Feyenoord for a loan to Serie A side Pisa.
It is understood there are still some finer details to be agreed upon between clubs while the player will also have contract specifics he will need ironed out.
But we understand the deal to take Stengs to Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani could be done within the next 48 hours.
Ironically, that coincides with business Celtic are finally about to have rubber-stamped themselves after leaving supporters with a lengthy wait for anything to get excited about.
MIchel-Ange Balikwisha is due in Glasgow to greenlight his £4.5milion switch from Royal Antwerp.
Back in early June we were told by sources in Belgium that the move was unlikely due to other interested clubs as well as politics within Antwerp which could derail any move.
But that has finally been sorted out and he has been allowed to leave.
We also understand Marcelo Saracchi is due to touch down in Scotland in the coming days ahead of a season-long loan deal from Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
The former RB Leipzig full-back will arrive as deputy for Kieran Tierney.
The clubs have not agreed a future option at the time of writing, though it has been discussed.
