Football games in Scotland aren't played on munros. Altitude affects athletic performance because the air has less oxygen at higher elevations, making it harder for the body to deliver oxygen to muscles. Their players will be more used to it than ours so it can be an advantage. It's one of the reasons the Bolivian national team wins a lot more often at home.

For once I'm grateful for an earlier kick off as going to a gig tonight. Will watch in Brazen, then make the short walk to the O2 after.

No idea where people get their optimism from, it’s a trait I wish I had.

Im convinced I’ve seen this game before and it doesn’t end well.

I’ll be watching in hope rather than expectation.

Me too. We should beat them, as I feel we have a better side, but I felt like that before the home leg. I'm nervous as *.

Exactly. That and the heat will work against us in a major way, given that we try to press high. In order to stand a chance, we need to turtle up, and limit the amount of space we need to cover most of the game, since this will conserve stamina. Let Kairat attack into a prepared defense, and expose their lack of pace when we get the ball.

    I’d probably go for:

    Kasper
    Ralston CCV Scales Tierney
    Hatate McGregor Engels
    Nygren Maeda Yang

Anyone saying they don’t care if we win or they’d rather be in the EL, with all due respect, get yourselves to *.

There probably is a lot of Blind optimism going around but for me.

1 - We're still a much better side than them on paper
2 - They're missing their best player and potentially their main Striker and GK.
3 - I dont think we'll make the mistake of playing Idah and Forrest up front again, which hindered us a lot last week
4 - I dont think there's any way we don't go over there and score, and id be shocked if they scored twice.

Ill be * myself come kickoff time, but I have a feeling we'll be alright tonight.

Being in the Europa pretty much ruins the season, no big European games, playing Thursday-Sunday 8 times.

Plus the embarrassment of losing to this utter * never mind the money.

On paper we should be beating teams like this 2-0 or 3-0 home and away without breaking sweat.

People talking about their "wonderboy" but did he even touch the ball last week anyway, if he was with us nocunt would probably have ever heard of him he'd be playing plumbers in the B team.

They are easily beatable and an average team, not scoring here would be a war crime.

    I'd be going

    Schmeichel
    Ralston CCV Scales Tierney
    McGregor
    Engels Hatate
    Nygren Yamada Maeda

Hopefully are winning 2/3 nil with nothing to worry about.

But if we are going into the last 30 drawing or losing then i'd sub on McCowan, Forrest and Yang for probably Tierney, Engels and Yamada.

    Schmeichel
    Ralston CCV Scales Hatate
    McGregor
    Nygren McCowan
    Forrest Maeda Yang

Changing to that, i'd prefer to see Hatate at left-back to Scales and Murray coming on.

Only time id be happy to be in the EL is if by some horrendous criminal luck that leagues finished a certain way that meant we were given a ridiculous draw against a team that should be in contention to win the CL.

The fact we could and should qualify but haven't done so by making the most of the home game is beyond tragic.

Just not convinced we get it done with Idah up top tonight if he starts

I feel like that too - the ‘authorities’ seem to make us play Sundays at every opportunity as it is.
