Tbf they've played Olimpija Ljubljana, KuPS and Slovan.

    Hardly a stellar line up.

The time before that they were beaten at home by Kisvarda.

I've only ever heard of Slovan.

Their last home game they lost against Yelimay.

    ... No, me neither.

I'm normally pessimistic but even for me, beating this side isn't "eternal optimism".

I still think we can do it. They don't really score much and I think that's the key, if we don't concede then I think we win.

So who is out for then exactly?

Edmilson being out would be a big bonus, he did cause us a few problems last week.

Satpaev set up their disallowed goal and is easily their best player, him being out is massive.

Their GK potentially being out is massive too, made a few good saves earlier on.

If we are all being honest this club doesn't deserve to be in the Champions league the way it operates. And who cares if we miss out on the money, it doesn't get spent. This clubs ambition =Europa League.

Losing tonight might save us from getting absolutely ripped and embarrassed in the CL.

Kairat Almaty have been dealt with another injury blow ahead of the second leg of their Champions League play-off against Celtic tonight.

Brendan Rodgers and his men are in Kazakhstan for the crucial showdown, having made the lengthy trip from Glasgow on Sunday.

The teams drew 0-0 at Parkhead in the first leg last Wednesday.

For tonight's match, Kairat will be without Brazilian striker Edmilson. Sports.kz reports that the 28-year-old, who started last week, has been injured in training and is 'practically' ruled out.

Kairat were already due to have Alexander Zarutsky and Giorgi Zaria unavailable, as well as Chelsea-bound wonderkid Dastan Satpayev, who is suspended.

Brendan Rodgers says there are no excuses for Celtic not to go through: "There's no excuse for us," admitted the manager, when asked whether the long journey and heat could impact his side's chances of progression.

"Especially when you see how well Kairat worked last week. They had the same journey going the other way.

"So that won't be an excuse for us. And I think, as I said, we all feel fine, we feel great, we're on our own time zone and like I say, we'll prepare and there'll be no excuse

This is where I’m at. I want us to win tonight of course, but I really don’t see any difference regardless what happens. We’re sitting with £100m in the bank and refuse to spend to try and progress. If we win tonight, all that happens is that we will have £150m in the bank and still carry on the same way we are just now. It makes no odds whatsoever in my opinion.

I fully believe we can and will beat this side, it just shouldn't come down to the second leg as we all know.

    All 3 of them apparently

Their starting LB, Mata, is back in.

A percentage will be spent, just as a percentage of the EL money would be spent. So I have no doubt more money would be spent outright.

Funny as the guy that played LB for them midweek was excellent, so it'd be harsh if they dropped him straight away.

Going by the way coefficient is, the challenges of getting CL football is going to get very difficult in future. Let's get in and enjoy it while we can.

Expect a big high for winning this match and a big low when transfer window closes when we haven't signed adequate players and get a draw of death in the CL.

I don't think we can afford to wait until 60 minutes to bring on our biggest goal threat of the season so far. Forrest is done he's been massively ineffective especially against Kairat. I agree with your midfield thats exactly who I'd play. But I'd have a front 3 of Yang Maeda and Nygren for this one.

I think the past 3 seasons with guaranteed access you've seen us spend more, last summer we certainly did, the summer before I think we spent a fair amount (it was just on *) but we also gave out quite a few contract extensions which I would expect to have had better pay.

We won't spend all of it, but I do think CL does affect spend, we just don't spend all of it.

Also don't see Nygren being an impact player off the bench, it's more Yang and Forrest who can spring the impact off the bench due to the nature of the way they play the game, they are direct and commit players. Nygren is more of a clever player who will find pockets of space and ghost into the box.
