If we don't beat a Kazak team that has 50% of the squad, and all the key players out, we are in some trouble.

I remember Sparta beat us 4-1 at Celtic Park. We went to Prague a couple of weeks later and were told that due to injuries and suspensions Sparta would effectively be fielding a reserve side.

I’d play Kenny ahead of Shin. I’d be tempted to go Maeda, Kenny & Forrest. Kenny and Maeda in the same front 3 will press well.

I'd be tempted with Maeda through the middle but that would mean playing Yang which puts me off

 

It is what it is, you will have the eternal optimists on here getting us through but when you look at the stats and facts behind teams who visit their stadium and Kazakhstan in general Scottish teams do not win, infact most teams who play almaty at their home ground in qualifying dont win.

Europa league is still a decent competition albeit one I would rather be in would be UCL but listen is what it is. We will go in EL and give it our best shot am sure might get a favourable draw and a few tasty ones but as I said almaty will finish in the UCL on nil points but as few have said if you can't beat them to get there then you dont deserve to be in it, for them to get through 4 rounds and make the league stage is a monumental achievement for them so fair play for a limited team with a guy who was a youth coach to make it that far.

As for us we have serious questions to be answered that are far far greater than the outcome of a match.

You'd think Yang would be more used to the climate than a northern European born player, may just work in out favour

 

They haven't conceded a goal in their 3 home qualifiers to date, winning all 3.

The clean sheet they kept at Celtic Park was the first they kept away from home in the qualifiers this season.

 

If true...their keeper being out is a blow for them.....Come on Celtic
