Unless we view Inamura being ready as Tierney's cover next season, I don't see the point in this signing.

It screams of a panic loan.

 

To be fair, he's not someone we'd struggle to keep if he does well, but I think we clearly see Inamura there in the future.

Just get it done at this point.

 

Im not that bothered with the "hot head" stuff. Quite the opposite actually. About * time we get someone in that will scream and players faces and give them a good kicking.

Problem for me is the reported poor discipline. We've seen this before with Bernie: big culture shock coming from South America, coming in as second choice, poor discipline as it is. Just seems a recipe for a blow up.

It's incredibly frustrating that every single window we go into it looking for a left back and the best we can seemingly deliver are loan deals of players clubs simply want to get off their books.

Valle is a prime example last season - we could have actually tried to get him permanently for £3-4m. He may or may not have wanted the move permanently but we weren't interested. Barca needed to sell also.

Best thing we can hope for is Inamura takes every chance he gets and convinces Rodgers he's the answer as our backup LB.

 

Yeah if it is discipline issues i don't want that here. would be very strange as we are extreme when it comes to bringing players that suits the team well in.

 

I get the that's feeling why we've loaned. Usually at £2m you'd think we'd just take the punt. I think it's worth the loan to see, get Inamura the loan and see if he can replace next year.

 

Feel this must be due to Johnson's injury. I think he'll possibly be first choice RB, but the fact he's got limited game time there is poor.

On the plus side, he can easily shift to LB when KT gets subbed, allowing Ralston or Donovan to come on to cover RB.

This time of the window usually always completes destroys Celtic trotted out excuses of things taking time and "moving parts" or complex deals - turns out almost every other club can do a deal within a few days and when we really want to, so can we.

Fact other deals can take all summer, sometimes multiple windows, is just sole destroying knowing the * could act better.
