That’s a good point that, never thought about that, but it did stop a bit of momentum

I think most of us felt he was really coming in to his game and finding his place in the team as well. Totally for me set him back. But again, 2 years ago now, you'd expect him to find the form again by now! I like him as a wee player, but can't be considered a starter.

He found some last season, that didn’t last.

See judging pre-season and the start of this season, I think there’s a change in his game. He’s more definite, before he was just erratic, he was just doing one thing after the next almost in a panic or just buzzing something worked.

    He’s more considered

The kairaty game midweek certainly showed that as well.
It wasn't just random energy giving the team a buzz, you could tell he was thoughtful in what he was trying.

No slight on Forrest but see if we had Jota Kuhn, Another of quality and then Yang as a sort of calibre of options, you'd be alright with that.

I wanted to start Maeda up top but I don’t think there’s any way we can start Yang, so Yamada up top for me.

Similar to when he came on against Falkirk. The incredible save from his header yesterday, that run and intent of attacking the ball is another slight example.

He shouldn’t be in contention as first choice, if we as a club had done the job right, but just because that’s the case when he is a better option then don’t ignore it.

That said, I don’t think he is. Nygren and Maeda for on the wings. Yang and Forrest, both are options I like better off the bench

Said it the other night after the game.
Would go 4231 - 2 pivots, 3 cams the 2 wide cams in half wing roles.

That let's us get maeda up top and nygren, McGowan and hatate in behind.
    * playing wingers when we have nothing there now. But Rodgers will stick to his bland 433 rather than be bold. That mob will be doing exact same as last week. Need to mix it up. Should be playing a formation which allows us to get our best players on the park at one time.

Something I’d put my mortgage on won’t happen that. There’s been a good few times I think we should have moved to that. Last two Hun games last year being the standout in my mind.

It’s odd that BR has a complete refusal to change the formation, the style we’re seeing just now was what he preferred back in 2016. Rogic forced him into the 4231, added to not getting Joe Allen that he desperately wanted for the Calmac role.

But he looked at what we had, and done the best suited. He won’t even consider it as an option this time round. It’d be a very easy way to change our game mix it up, I’m not even saying all the time but as an option in game. We have players since he’s came back that are perfect for either or.
