Signing this guy essentially rules out Inamura and also means 3 months of Ralston and young Donovan as RB options.

Also Scandinavians tend to settle better here than south Americans

Brendan has said numerous times inamura will go on loan. Thats why tilio had to be made a permanent move. Even yesterday said "he will be OK when you play teams who you know will sit off and you will have 75% possession"

 

Thought I had read they were wanting obligation at £7m.

Given AJ could be away next summer then he'd be a good try before you buy option and limit's the risk of spending big money but aye no doubt that the reasoning.
Given Rodgers comments on Donovan yesterday regarding still considering sending him out on loan then I guess we may still look at a RB too.

Surely his Inamura comments regarding the Champions League are equally relevant for Donovan or is only Japanese players he feels that way about?

Saracchi on the other hand doesn't fill me with excitement with all the back ground noise & has been on the downward trajectory the last few seasons playing as a back up mainly.

I think a left back comes in and they will temporarily be used as right back cover. The club aren't buying a right back as cover November.

Going to RBL from River Plate, it’s something that suggests at least when younger he had something suggesting he had something about him. RBL’s scouting is like that.

And it might be starting to be proven right, he got his first call up in 5 years end of 2024. Honestly he seems looking at his career like big teams, not the elite sort of teams but big enough to be vying in their leagues for honours will have him happily as a back up, with him never really making the next step.

 

What is he like as a FB is he an attacking type of more defensive is he similar to Tierney or a Taylor?

Seems he is an attacking type, might be similar to Bernabei, kind of all action risky player who takes people on and tries to create, probably decent technically to have played for teams like Boca, Galatasaray and Leipzig but must have enough deficiencies about him not to have cut it.

 

His fast forward passing is exactly what we need against most the league. A great option when 0-0 and tierney needs a sub.
