Yamada. Think a front 3 of Maeda, Yamada and Forrest is our best bet. Hopefully we go a bit more direct like we did in the second half yesterday and they leave a bit of space in behind.

For out and out striker, of the pair of them - Shin.

Though I would see how Forrest is doing and potentially would play Maeda, Shin, Kenny as a front three.

So long as the useless diddy that is Idah is nowhere near, then the tempo and movement in the front line should be a lot better than last week!

Yang left, Nygren or Forrest on the right? I wouldn’t be against that at all.

Maeda moving wide at the same time Tierney comes off.

We don’t need his graft as much on the wing when it’s infront of Tierney

    Same as yesterday..

    Yamada then Kenny..

    Maeda out wide..

That way we don't lose any of our speed up top or pressing..

I’m leaning towards that way as well. But I won’t be unhappy if it’s Kenny.

Pace wise, he has a lot as well.

He's travelled so must be in with a chance for some part of the game. No way we are making him do that trip if not.

    To answer original question..... Maeda.

Forrest and Nygren either side of him

I wouldn’t have him in contention for this one straight off even fully fit. Not fully fit, starting him is not helping either us or him.

Nygren on the RW seems the most dangerous option with Engels to replace him in the middle.

What ever it is he is out with, I hope he still is!
I'm actually hoping the injury is just an excuse from Rodgers not to basically call him * in public. Guy can not surely play again any time soon.

Out of those two I’d probably go with Yamada, although there may well be little between them, for all we know.

I’d much rather see us go with Yang/Maeda/Nygren as our frontline though. Maeda will offer more threat in the middle and Jamesie was *-poor on Saturday tbf.

I don’t think that’s the case. If he was fit he would have played against Livingston, trying to get him a game and a goal under his belt that can help the confidence.

Tuesday I’ll be angry if he starts, fighting for form, confidence and fitness. In a game like that, with how important it is.

It would be a very bad decision

Maeda, Shin, Forrest - hopefully with Ralston and Tierney feeding quickly up the wings. Although Tierney didn't seem to be doing that the other day...

Think the team kinda picks itself from what we have...

    Schmeichel
    Ralston, CCV, Scales, Tierney
    McGregor, hatate, nygren,
    Forrest, Shin, Maeda

Sub on the rest based on the night and how the game seems to be going...

Not great, but still enough to see out the game... We just need to be clinical/lucky with our shots and to be bold enough to go for it when we get the chance

Think Tierney has been holding back a bit, trying to not overcrowd the wing and get in Maeda’s road. Both of them make the same sort of movements out wide, Maeda needs to move inside earlier if he’s infront of Tierney.

Defensively as well, Tierney’s adapting to what Maeda will do, defending more centrally trusting Maeda’s tracking back on the wing. That’s working well that. Going forward better to get the best out of Tierney wide, with Maeda making up numbers in the box as a threat. Not quite clicked like that yet.

New partnership, it'll take time... Tierney has been moving ok, but I was hoping for more decisive, fast balls up the wing to turn teams on their heels

Ralston was on less than 5mins and pinged one from our box up to about their 20 yard line area on the wing and it completely spooked Kairat. It petered out without being followed up on, but it was great to see... I'd like to see us using the speed up front to run into spaces with quick ball and frightening teams
