Already had my fill of that with Palma and Giakoumakis especially, acting like a wee lassie breaking up with her boyfriend all over social media constantly.

South American with a bad attitude, in Scotland and as a back up LB?
    Sounds perfect!

Would much rather Jelert every day! But as a back up to Tierney to come on as a sub & as a squad player I would take him.

I hope they do their homework for a change as our track record with South American players is not the best.

    Looked a bit into him.

I feel like even for backup we could do a bit better. He has a good CV but not played a lot for a 27 year old.

This gives me Toljan/Laxalt/El Kaddouri vibes. Random punt from abroad with not a huge amount of thought, just lazily plugs a gap.

I'm not particularly enthuse on this link. Loan deals for washed up guys like this tend to not go well when we look at our history. Braafheid, El Kaddouri, Toljan, Jonjo Kenny etc.

I think Inamura probably looks a better bet for that role. Obviously Rodgers has his doubts about him defensively but he's a bigger guy than this lad.

Marcelo Saracchi's future at Boca Juniors appears to be heading away from La Bombonera. After being sidelined following the arrival of Miguel Russo, the Uruguayan defender began to consider alternatives, and in recent days, a concrete opportunity from Europe has emerged that seems to appeal to both the player and Xeneize.

Celtic of Scotland has begun formal negotiations with the management of Brandsen 805 to sign the full-back. According to reports, both institutions are in talks with the aim of finalizing the deal before the end of the European transfer window.

The British club's proposal consists of a one-year loan with a fee and a purchase option, although the amounts have not yet been revealed. For now, initial reports indicate that if the Scots try to adjust the amounts of that clause to meet Boca Juniors' demands, the Argentine club would be willing to release the player. It's worth remembering that, shortly after learning that he would be sidelined from the squad, the full-back was close to joining Independiente, but negotiations fell through.

The Uruguayan's outlook changed after his participation in the Club World Cup in the United States, where he even got minutes against Bayern Munich. Despite that experience, weeks later he was told he would have to train alone and was dropped from the squad.

The Ribera club believes that leaving is the best option, and while there have never been many details regarding the decision to sideline him, the club's inner circle seems to believe he isn't 100 percent committed when he's not in the starting lineup.

The player, for his part, limited himself to just one post on his social media at the end of July, already marginalized from the squad's daily life. There, with a photo of himself shouting a Boca Juniors goal, Saracchi chose a song by the Uruguayan band La Vela Puerta, "José sabe," with lyrics that seem to echo his feelings at the moment he's going through: "When everything seems screwed up, that's when you have to give it your all." Shortly after, he exploded with another post, albeit with a phrase erroneously attributed to Che Guevara: "It's better to die standing up than to live on your knees."

Think he can play rb aswell, so might not be a bad shout this tbh. Decent pedigree and squad player to have around.

Well he's played in the Istanbul and Buenos Aires derbies (the latter on both sides) so that's no bad experience if he needs chucked it at any point.

    Probably does make sense.
