You had a chance to introduce Colby Donovan. Are you happy with how he did?

I really like Colby. I think he's got the personality to play for Celtic. Got the hunger, good size, serves the ball well. You see straight away when he comes in, he's not timid, he's aggressive. I think with Colby it's about balancing up whether he goes out on loan or whether we keep him here and get him some minutes. That'll be what we have to decide. But I really like him and I think longer term he'll be a fantastic player for the squad here.

 

Seen what we pay the development squad. That's all he can afford.

 

If we had Leo Messi in the youths Rodgers wouldn’t * use him haha

 

Big unit of a boy. Him and Murray need minutes throughout the season or a decent loan to develop. Both look like they could be decent players with experience.

 

He’s looked very good last preseason and this preseason. Looks to have the physicality aswell. Hopefully could have a good future at the club.

 

With Johnston out injured till christmas you would think we will need to keep Donovan as back up to Ralston until then. Pity really as a good season long loan would have been best for Donovan himself IMHO. We can always find a good loan for him in January though I would think.

 

Sometimes football throws you an opportunity, it happened with KT, hopefully Colby grabs his.

 

The start of this season, I’m very happy we seem to be doing something I’ve wanted for years, and when the squad gets thin rather than shoehorning players in wrong positions trust the youth option that’s been proving themselves as best in the Development in that position.
