If you want to see us getting embarrassed 5, 6 and 7-0 this season in the CL then so be it.

I'd rather avoid the shame and humiliation.

Don’t see us getting through with the players we have available. Four or five new players can make our season , but think the CL damage is done

You’d rather see us beat than win, which you’ve just admitted. At the point your opinion on Celtic is null and void.

I think I'm going to be left disappointed regarding transfers at this stage. We aren't going to get the amount of business done that I believe we need to.

Hopefully we can pull a performance out over there.

Very deflated atm to be honest. This is all very predictable.

I think we will get through the qualifer. But to be honest, I dont feel excited at all about the champions league. We are there to get pumped and make up the numbers this season. And to make lots of money we dont spend.

I think a draw feels most likely against rangers. Similar to last game at Ibrox, both teams are poor and a draw isnt that bad for either side. It gives Martin something to point to that is a bit positive from their perspective. And it means celtic stay clear top with Ibrox out the way. But when one of the worst rangers defences Ive seen collides with one of the worst celtic strikers Ive seen, who knows what could happen!

Signings wise, I think we will get one proper first team level signing. Couple of * punts to plaster over the gaps. That will be our lot.

It’s a hard ask to qualify for the CL now and just can’t see us winning at the giro dome.

    A complete * show.

Depending on who we finally sign, I might feel the same way and I'm not raging or even particularly angry. The current squad would get absolutely battered nearly every game in the CL and would be lucky, quite genuinely lucky, to get 2 or 3 points. I don't enjoy that. Yes, I enjoyed last year a lot; but honestly, that was the first CL campaign I had enjoyed since Rodgers' first year.

In contrast, the EL is always fun and I always enjoy it.

So yeah, get the players in that we need to be competitive again and I absolutely want to qualify for the CL; don't do that, and I prefer the Europa League. Do you know if we will get the players we need? Because I have no idea. At the moment and for the record, I still want us to go through, because I still think we might make some good signings in the final few days of the window; but who even knows at this point?

All of this was avoidable, as we well know, but at the end of the day we’re the better team and if we can’t get past this lot over two legs, then, we’ve no business in the CL regardless.

I’ve a feeling that we might just do it, but the board should be made to feel the heat either way.

For me Rodgers looked visibly drained this week. Can see it's been building. The relentless questioning about transfers and him having to front it out constantly with no one backing him up or taking the heat off him on the subject seems to have taken a toll.

He's clearly trying to keep a lid on being * off whilst covering for the very people that are causing the situation & who should be out front giving some clarity.

I genuinely think that and the negativity of it all seeped into the team & contributed to our performance on Wednesday.

At the end of the day the players are just people like the rest of us and its hard to imagine that all the current negativity (completely the fault of the board) didn't have some part in that performance Wednesday especially in the first half when we were so timid in our approach rather then getting after the game.

It’s not about enjoyment of the individual, it’s about the most success you can achieve as a club.

To want Celtic to drop down a competition just to be more competitive for a single season, on the base level, is short term nonsense. To want Celtic to lose a match to achieve that, is even worse.

That all depends how far you go in that competition. Yes, the CL Group stage is a far bigger success than the EL Group Stage, the CL Playoff is a bigger success than the EL Playoff round, etc. Obviously, if you compare any equivalent stage between the 2, then the CL is a much bigger success; but is the CL Group stage a bigger success than a EL semi-final? What about a EL final? Was last season (by far our most successful CL season since 2013) a bigger success than Seville? Not for me.

*, if even the Huns can reach a couple of finals, why can't we win the thing? I don't think that's impossible. That's the other thing about the EL: we can dream. You can't do that in the CL.

We'll beat the Huns. Confident of that, more because of how poor they are than anything about us.

The whole feeling around the club is just draining at the moment.

Unless there is a quite monumental end to this window and some serious transparency from the board, I don't see things changing soon.

The landscape could change quickly, who knows. If wr do go through next week and get some business done it'll allow for more positivity. But I worry about us going into a season with so much toxicity around. I currently just cannot see it transferring to positive results particularly in Europe. Could be an absolute drag of a season.

Those aren’t the 2 options though, for someone I’d consider an intelligent man it’s difficult to understand how you can’t see that.

The options are the top table and all the riches or the 2nd rate competition and 2nd rate money. Yes the potential to go further increases but absolutely nothing is a given, there is no flip of a coin between the Champions League play off and the latter stages of the Europa.
