Him and Maeda were painful to watch last night.

Every game they've played together has been the same.

    No obvious coaching going on.

Funny thing is there, I agree with it, and they were by far the most dangerous and likely option to get anything from.

They don’t suit each others games, they are trying to figure out how to, and it stifles both at times. But they are dangerous, because how good they are individually.

Tierney more than Maeda is adapting to the partnership, but it’s dulling his game down. With more games they will sort that out, it’s very early days for them together.

They need to learn how to click but. I’m certain of if Jota was fit, him and Tierney with both of their natural style they don’t need to adapt and learn to play together, it naturally does.

Right now, I’m inclined for Maeda to move up top and Yang to play. They suit each other more, Maeda brings a lot more than Idah all round, Yang might do something class might be a waste but Tierney will be free to go forward more. And that is enough to opt for that

I don’t think he’ll be able to play more than 1 game a week. He was * at the 60min mark, it will take a long time for him to build a good base again to play longer.

Also it’s going to take a lot more 2 or 3 games for KT & Maeda to build up a chemistry, they had a few good moves that looked like they had been working on but Maeda isn’t a winger really.

Aye, he only really reached the 75th minute was it because the ball was hardly in play for the 10 minutes before it as their keeper was down about 3 times and play probably completely stopped for about 7 minutes.

When he was subbed too, we had a throw in and as he was jogging over to take it he was staring at the bench and you could tell he was thinking "im not seriously taking this and continuing to play am I".

He's probably still a good month away from reaching full fitness, by then he'll have played 10ish games and be fully back but will he make it that far before he gets injured?

He hasn't played regular week in week out football since December 2023/January 2024. Thats the last time he had a run of starting games and playing 5/6/7/8/9 games in a row.

His use of the ball is a concern. Also looks noticeably slower.

Serious questions need to be asked why we've signed a player (put down the green tinted specs) who can't play 90 minutes and effectively wastes a sub a game for us.

He's surely had enough training and game time to get up to speed by now?

His use of the ball when he has it is a real concern.

Clever teams in europe will target him with physicality as will they on Sunday. He's talented but he's also made of glass

He was * tonight, looks miles off it. Further highlights how pathetic our business has been this summer that it's the 26th of August and we still dont have another left back on the bench to deputise for him.

When was the last time he played this many games on the bounce ?

We'll run him into the ground, he'll end up with a bad injury, then we'll be left with this dodgy boy from Uruguay as our first choice.

If Greg Taylor put in a performance like that this place would be up in arms.

We are currently weaker at LB than when we had Taylor and Valle.

Not to say Tierney doesn’t get there but at this moment he’s not doing it and if he ends up like chocolate again that will compound it into a disaster
