"It definitely wasn’t as bad as your attempting to make out."

Funnily enough, it's a perfectly grammatical sentence if you interpret "attempting" as a gerund (although the meaning would be "make out" as in "smooch". Horribly bad though we played tonight, I agree with you that we definitely weren't as bad as Minty's kissing. :crazy3:

His distribution is incredibly poor. The thought of him starting games at LB is terrifying.

He does but he’s not the reason why we lost the game tonight and focussing on him over anyone else is strange.

The midfield and the front 3 were hoaching. They created next to * all. That’s not on Liam Scales.

It’s embarrassing that he was the best player on the park tonight. Even with his atrocious distribution.

Honestly im baffled with folk thinking scales was rotten tonight. Was our best player and one of the only few who seemed to want the ball.

he misplaces a few passes and folk go way over the top, he also made a couple of really good passes. Was dominant in the air as always and defended well. Hes a CB not a playmaking midfielder ffs.

He gets it way tighter than his performances merit. Im not saying he should be starting cb for celtic but he was the least of our worries tonight.

Never a LB. We’re not getting any joy with Tierney at the wing at the moment. With Scales out there it’s a black hole.

We didn’t lose the game. I haven’t focused solely on Scales, he was one of many who were *.

It's absolutely no worse and probably a fair degree better than the guy who partnered him last night. Scales didn't nearly cost us a goal last night because he couldn't trap a ball a toddler could.

I’m one of his critics but he didn’t put a foot wrong last night, * using him as a scapegoat!

If anything CCV should be criticised more than anything after he nearly cost us dearly with that * letting the ball roll under his foot and switching off.

Didn't play bad last night but we still need better if we want to kick on to the next level.

Least of our problems last night.

And that's again from someone who isn't a massive fan. At least he didn't hide.

In a team that dominates possession a huge part of his job is passing the ball and he's * atrocious at it.

And as iv said he has previous got completely * himself at Ibrox when under pressure.

The stats don't confirm that though. They actually would say he is a more progressive player on the ball than Carter Vickers is.

No one's saying CCV should distribute instead of Scales. Rather, if we're going to play like that, we should sign a proper ball playing defender. We clearly don't have anyone that can fulfil that role adequately.

And you know, obviously if you can't distribute from centre-half, you certain can't do it as a full-back. That's the scariest part of the whole thing. Scales should be nowhere near left back.

Agreed, Scales should be nowhere near left back but he is because we don't spend. I don't think our defenders distribution is the problem. The problem is McGregor, he's not a 6, never has been a 6. We need a guy who is comfortable dropping in between the centre halves and taking the ball off him and as long as McGregor playing as the 6 we are going to have centre backs being asked to do things they shouldn't be.

He can't play simple 5-10yard passes to guys in space. Continually gave the ball away v Aberdeen when trying to play simple passes and Huns will 100% target him next week given his previous * collapses there.

He's pish and should be nowhere near our starting 11
