Tbh it's too late for me now.

It's still needed but if we go out next week it'll be insanely toxic and any new signing coming into that...Good luck. They will have missed entirety of pre season, won't play at Ibrox and potentially missed being able to impact our European fate.

But at least they can contribute to our glorious league Cup run..eh.

We should be going into the final week of the window just looking to tweak and add one or two quality deals, knowing UCL football ie safely in the bag and we have a strong squad. But instead, we have WWIII about to kick off. It's absolute classic Celtic.

The only people who think we are ran in a manner that is even slightly acceptable are those who only watch Celtic, and maybe the odd EPL game.

No one with a basic knowledge of the footballing landscape on the continent even tries to contest the fact that we are an outdated shambles.

They have no frames of reference and simply just circle back to our domestic success in their attempted justifications.

There’s a plethora of evidence across European football to confirm how poorly we are ran with significantly more resources than our counterparts.

We lost kuhn and kyogo, jota out injured for the season, nearly £100 million in the bank, yet we sit and do absolutely * nothing.

Its gross negligence on a grand scale, i mean look at the goals and assists we have just lost!

    * * even the huns were able to identify cerny and sima who done well in loan spells, even a loan similar to cover jota then go spend 20 million on another striker and a rw, our sell on fees alone would have nearly covered that.

Im just so * disgusted with the club just now, they dont give a *.

Even in the EPL though it's not like every club just throws money at problems either. People try to defend the board by saying "spending doesn't guarantee success" which in essence is the exact same point we're making here. It's not just about investment in players, it's the club as a whole.

Spending on the things you can affect like scouting, coaching, data analysis, the best staff available etc. does all but guarantee a better sporting outcome. Even Man City owners invested in these things to make sure they were best in class rather than just lavishly spending on players for the first team, to the point where they have one of the most attractive youth academies and training centres in Europe.

We're sitting on money that could make our business (football club!!!) more profitable and productive, yet no explanation as to why.

Stop with the negligence patter, lads. It's intentional following of a prepared policy.

You’d hope given the reality check last night we will have ramped up getting deals done for first team ready players. Nah? Me neither.

    This is exactly it.

Pre season is wrapped up and our new players should be bedding in nicely, with Rodgers tweaking here and there to find his first 11.

CL should be a * FORMALITY given our resources and the qualifier opposition, and every fan should be confident of a treble and hopeful for a sustained campaign in Europe.

20-30m was all that, all it wouldve cost. A happy fan base, money basically untouched, and tidy profit off CL participation. New tops flying off the shelves. Some good media coverage. Excitement in the stands and optimism in the dressing room.

    Instead look where we are.

Its just * absolute madness. Sheer lunacy.

Nobody. Not even dyed in the wool hun commentators can wrap their heads around it.

I'd love to know where we rank in terms of cash in the bank.

We can all agree we need 4-6 players depending on opinon.

And we can debate Rodgers role in signing players off, or recruitment role in selecting Z players, or the boards role in getting the player over the line.

The reality is most fans that can see even the slightest of bigger picture knew that we had to qualify for the CL this season, and in Jan passed was a big window to show intention and get players in early. We even had the carrot of knock out CL football to offer at that stage too.

But what do we do sell our best striker who we knew was leaving already and not replace him. So why is the timing and future planning so off??

If its cause we need to see if we qualify first for CL in the summer. Well if we dont we arent good enough for to challenge for the europa league. So we still need quality.
Or is it cause Rodgers is leaving. Its not like previous when we had to save that money to create a pot for a new manager. We can still imrove and give the new manager better quality of squad.

What also worries me is Rodgers mention of warning the players remember who pays their wages till they leave. Its almost like he knows 1 or 2 or playing with one foot out the door and its impacting the proformance. Hes is deffo pointing out to one or two players only, but if they are to go also thats mote than the 5 people think we need

Do we not have anyone in the academy or b side that could make the step up? I know the discussion of players progressing thru the ranks is for another time and another thread but surely we must be producing players that can come into the first team and take their chance?

If AJs injury is serious and it sort of feels like idahs career here is more or less over then i fear we have left ourselves an awful lot to do in the the next 10 days
