Nah he had 3 mate, got a yellow against Olimpija, one against KUPS and one against Slovan.

Unless there's some rule Im missing, I dont get why he's played, I'm sure I heard he was suspended prior to today.

Was getting shamefully excited there thinking they'd done a Legia :giggle1:

Unfortunately Hamish has clarified that no rule was broken

They were well organised and better than I thought they'd be. Couldn't believe the time wasting but it worked for them.

Possibly the least exciting, least entertaining European game I've been at in all the decades I've been going to games.

Not a * chance we’re beating this mob in Kazakhstan. Not a chance.

Sack the board. Absolutely * sickened with what I just watched. That’s what you get for gambling. Utter incompetence from those at the top. Morons. *.

We did exactly as we did against Aberdeen in the cup final - we turned up and played as if the game was already won. Totally unacceptable and we got what we deserved.

Worryingly it looked as if the players couldn't care less. Our captain and leader was anonymous. In my opinion he needs to be more vocal and put the boot in every now and again, give some of his team mates a bollocking or a geeing up when it's needed. I miss Scott Brown in that respect as he led by example.

The tie is not over but the travel time, the climate, the late kick off time there and the fact we don't have a decent right winger or striker doesn't fill me with confidence. We don't even have a strong bench anymore. Going out to this team will be an embarrassment for us as a club.

Saturday against Livi will now be a struggle and expect to see an even weaker team in preparation for Tuesday. * forbid but we could drop points on Saturday now which will be unforgivable.

    Get it sorted Celtic...

The fact that both McGregor and Vickers made visible mistakes in a big game like this clearly shows the tension between Rodgers and the board is affecting the team. We did have a great 10 minutes in the second half, and then CCV gave us that scare. We never got that intensity back.

I fully agree with @Mr Hoopy in the assessment that Kairat are a solid team. We could learn some things from them. If we go out, it is not an embarrassment IMO.
Of course the board should be blamed if this happens. I wish them all the worst fates.

How does CCV taking his eyes of the ball and letting the ball roll under his feet, clearly show a visible tension between Rodgers and the board, it's starting to get ridiculous

It's affecting the team. Rodgers looks * off, and the players feel this.

“We're disappointed with the result and first-half performance. We didn't start with the intent and mentality we wanted to. We were quite passive.
Who's fault is that he should have had the players up for this match or are the players not listening to him, there is too much passing along the back, ball not going forward quickly enough and wingers not taking players on cutting inside,I put the blame on Rodgers, yes the board should have had players in for him but he has 30m of players sitting on the bench, who's to blame for that

Do we really want to qualify for the Champions league with the current team? it's much weaker than the previous few seasons.
What is the point in competing in a competition where we will be certainly outclassed and struggling for points?
For the money? why do we as fans care about the money? the club dosen't invest the Champions league gains anyway, until that changes we would be better of in the Europa league.
Until the whole scouting team gets the boot and the club are willing to invest,I would be happy with the Europa League

Scouting team does not need blamed. They come back with some brilliant players all at different levels. The money men are the problem. Could have the best scouts in the world, won't make a difference with the same money men involved.

Teams like this don't fear drawing us in qualifiers anymore. They absolutely buzz off of it. They look at our record in past qualifiers and instantly know there's probably more than a 50-50 chance they'll progress.

Are we still able to use a wildcard for next week?

If we lose next week then we’ve failed in 5 qualifying campaigns in a row, 4 of them on the ‘easier’ route. Of course no one fears us. That stat alone is all you need to know.

We need something to get us through next week. Some piece of magic from Hatate or Maeda and then a boring-as-* defensive performance. That’s our only real chance.
