:97: Don't get you, this song was sung at nearly all their games for the last 5 months or so. So it was already well known.

Listen to the huns *-weak comeback

"In the days following the recent Old Firm match, the Club were made aware that a substantial number of complaints had been made regarding the singing of the chorus of a song known as 'The Famine Song' by our supporters at this match. "Rangers Football Club approached Strathclyde Police for guidance on this matter, with a view to issuing a joint statement indicating that persons singing this song in future may face the possibility of arrest.
"Strathclyde Police were not able to commit to this until they had carried out further investigation."
The spokesman said the club had a long-established policy of encouraging sporting behaviour and discouraged the singing of songs which others found offensive.
"Clearly 'The Famine Song' has provoked such a response in certain quarters," he added.
"It is the club's view that the interest of our supporters and the club will be best served by supporters refraining from singing 'The Famine Song'.""

As though it's just some fun jolly party song that some "para Sellick fans" took a hump with! Twats!

have u seen a handsome hun
in years to come the supporters at ibrox will have to raise their hands and ask permission to make a noise....hahahaha * em.

every song they sing is a song of hatred and bile.
they even turned poor tina turners song into a sectarian bigoted shambles.

whilst the scottish press is willing to turn a blind eye to their "jock knew" chants without one journalist having the cajones to speak out against it.... they'll get away with most chants.
and can you get derek johnstone to condemn them for that chant..... not a chance.
they wont even entertain callers who want to speak out about it.

they r living up to their reputation as ths shame of this country.

their actions at the old firm game make me sick, the simple solution is shut them down or at least shut down their ground to their own fans until they can learn to behave(which will never happen in my opinion)

I admire how that Celtic fan thought of complaining to the Irish Government, he must have had a relative who died in it or something. But I'm pleased he retaliated in a way unlike the huns who sang it would have if we sung for "british soldiers to go home"
