Why would he want to play for them though if he has a move lined up to a good league (Austria)? Why risk injury playing with kids?

 

Imagine thinking you're getting a move to Vienna then a few days later being asked to play in a part time league with uni teams you would tell them to * off

Since the decision to hold this deal up young Marco has not made a match day squad.

There is no world where the answer to our self inflicted current front options is Marco Tilio so send him on his way.

What’s been reported as the details of interest for him can’t be right, it’s far too bizarre and unlike us to be true.

The report was a loan with £2m odd agreed fee and us wanting a bit more or an obligation to buy.

I can’t see us knocking that offer back at all. We’ve agreed deals loan to buy for guys we could potentially get more for if they impress like Palma’s loan last season.

It even could be generally accurate but the details wrong, not wanting to pay enough of his wages, or wanting no loan fee or the £2m in a structured payment dependent on unlikely things if he does go that will never be triggered.

It’s too * weird if as reported we just say no to it.

 

In late summer, the long wait for Marco Tilio comes to an end. Finally, Celtic gave the green light to give up the winger. The 23-year-old Australian prefers to come from the right side, but can also attack on the left.



The deal has changed in the weeks of waiting through renegotiations. Originally, a relatively expensive loan (around 400,000 euros) plus a purchase obligation from 20 assignments for a seven-digit sum was planned.

In the meantime, it was negotiated that Rapid would buy Tilio immediately, but from the point of view of the Viennese to good conditions.

At least this one finally looks like being done if that report is correct. We paid about 1.1m euro when we originally bought him so it will be interesting to see what the so called favourable terms for Rapid Vienna means.

Presume this is because we want to keep the loan slots open for Osmand/Kenny/Inamura. I'd imagine we are probably tring to offload Welsh permanently too.

 

Not massively against this, I imagine if they were going to pay €400k to take him on loan with I think it was rumoured another €1.6m if he played 20 games we have said give us around €1m now and you can take him.

At the start of the summer I thought we would do well to get any fee for him.
