My worry is more his personality mate. He’s definitely good enough to score in our league. But we seem to have a good group of personalities from the outside looking in and also every player always comments on how good a group it is. Just feel like Vardy as he is wouldn’t be a great introduction into that. Also add to that the wage he’d command. I’m sure our top players would wonder why they can’t be paid similar. It’s public knowledge KT has come in and his wage is lower than Mcgregors. Surely if we then paid vardy double he’d wonder why the * he ever allowed the club to pay him less! :giggle1:

It definitely stinks of the board being fully aware Rodgers is doing his 3yrs and thats that.. if there's anything in it at all..

    Short term thinking, always..

Would love to have a model where we have a defined goal and structure regardless of the turnover of staff and players..

Well we are getting a bit near the desperate stage, two weeks to go, and we have a double header with Kairat and a derby game coming up soon.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Weren't the Huns meant to be chasing Vardy too ?

As long as we keep Yangs girlfriend away from Becky Vardy, we're on to a winner.

(I just wanna see the world burn now, that's what this * board have done to me)

Forget vardy we should be signing wayne rooney, he might be 74 but could still cut it in the spfl, also he's bound to get sacked from his job on MOTD, it's a struggle for the poor * to get a sentence oot ! :56:

Looks like Eddie Pearson may have been right after all

From the Celtic underground weekly article a couple of weeks ago

James Vardy’s agent is rumoured to have approached us and Rangers about the player. No real interest from us at the moment but if Idah is moved on and we don’t get any encouragement

The sad thing is this is probably down to if he would come or not. If he’s up for it I think Rodgers would go for it over one of the Board type signings.

Rodgers is only here another year, he knows Vardy well and probably well enough like Schmeichel to say to him how are you feeling? Do you have another season in you. We will likely be the only club that might have CL football something he only experienced one season.

He comes in with a year and. Perhaps another year option, The Board like it as although he gets a decent wage, they can get rid next summer when Rodgers is off and no transfer fee.

Called it a few days ago I could see this coming.

    He definitely isn't.

He's a bit of a chav/ned aye but that's where the comparisons stop. But this is a guy who's worked his way from literal pub fitba to being the top scorer in the most competitive league in world football, scoring regularly at the highest level.

Plus, Griffiths scored over 100 goals for us. We currently don't have a striker I trust.

    I'm definitely open to this.

At this point I’d take him.

If he’s still even half of what he used to be he’ll be an improvement up front on what we’ve got.

What I would say is, this would make more sense if we'd signed another no1 striker.

Munteanu, Vardy and Yamada would be ideal. But I just can't see Idah going anywhere.

I agree with this he has nearly 200 goal contributions over 320 odd EPL games. Last season he play 36 times 10 goals and 4 assists for a shockingly bad Leicester team. He also complete over 2900 minutes so most of those appearances were full games.

Don’t get me wrong this is not what we should have been resorting to but we are a shambles and much like needing Schmeichel last year I could see this being this years short term kick the can down the road move.

Would be a decent signing as a backup striker. Not first choice.

That would give us Vardy, Idah, Yamada and Kenny. 4 strikers and yet still a severe lack of quality.
