No more than two players will come in by the end of the window.

We are in serious serious trouble if that turns out to be the case.

Its such a bad look from the club hierarchy to be staying silent on recruitment and having Rodgers face the same questions every few days with no answers.

If they want to do the business late in the window - fine. But at least communicate that out via the manager. Commit to actually getting it done.

Same old club policy on everything. Say nothing, commit to nothing, dont let yourself by held to account.

It would be very easy to tell Rodgers that they were committed to providing additional recruitments and that he can communicate this to the media and the support.

If you came out in public and said we are waiting til the end of the window it would put clubs off dealing with you.

I suppose honesty is good, but waiting until the end of the window has a practical disadvantage. Clubs of players we target will be able to exort us, knowing we may be desperate to get a deal in.

If the board want to save money, the right way is to do all deals early, before selling clubs have had time to improve their finances with other deals.

I think its easy to say to the manager that we will commit to getting replacements in and to convey that out to the wider support and media.

All he needs to say is that he has been given assurances from the club that they are committed to getting replacements in. Ok, the length of time its taking wont sit well with most. But at least if theres some sort of public commitment that the business will get done it removes a great deal of the agitation.

It seems ridiculous that the board would let these narratives build. Have Rodgers face the media time and again saying "not sure, dont know, maybe, hopefully, havent heard anything etc". It looks mickey mouse and not how a serious club operates.

Even from a professionalism standpoint you would think someone from the club would step in there and say - this isnt a good look. Its creating a lot of noise and distraction. The support are agitated. It makes us looks badly run. Lets nip this in this bud. Next time these questions are asked you can say that we are fully committed to strengthening the team further in this window. If the intention is there - I dont see that being an issue.

It gives off the vibe though that they really dont want to commit to anything because it might make them accountable.

could be players don’t want to commit til anyone til they see ur options.
We could have loads deals worked on but maybe player or other club don’t want sell yet.

This window is an abomination. Worst than I could've imagined and I thought it would be bad.

Another Sunday scouring the papers and online.
Not a single credible rumour, not even a single non-credible rumour either!

Based on our average time to identify and then conclude a deal, the window has now ended for us.

Left it all too late....Players are settling at new clubs as brought in early as they should be.

Lots of players are knocked out of Europe already and at this moment already don't look good enough to take.

What we are doing is waiting on these ties to be over and pressure placed on them before these * give any money at all to the recruitment side of it.

We will get last minute rejects from England as usual and even then we would need to pay a fortune for them.

Utterly * disgusted at this btw.....Like the worst i ever had with my time supporting this club.

We should be settled already and raring to go in this CL and League and look at the state of us....One or two injuries away from a catastrophe.

Desmond/Nicholson and * Lawell should all hang their heads in shame and should be driven from this club now.

No more merchandise from me going forward either...* that.

Personally think we have a very good team. Once we qualify, we'll finalise some wingers, jota will recover magically and we'll win the world cup and go on to collect the balondior for yang. Your aw just moany, head in the clouds hyperactive fannies. Hail Desmond.

Im guessing we'll get a couple of squad fillers and a couple of loans from the EPL.

Just analyzing past windows and knowing our board, as well as taking into account that Rodgers is in his last year of being here.

I don't think Rodgers is in his last year necessarily. If he wins the league again and does well in the Champions League, he gets a new contract, just the way the Celtic system works, so I think some of us are in the danger of getting ahead of ourselves here. I'm hearing four, possibly five new signings, with some before the Hun game.

He's already done enough to earn a new contract and they've had some talks already.

Would be very surprised if he signs a new deal now.. especially after this window.

I don't think he will want to stay tbh. The board are treating him like a bit of a mug.

It's all hubris, Brendan knows the score, he just has to play along with it.
I think the only thing it would tempt him to leave, is if he got an offer from a mid table upwards team of the EPL.
Apparently, his wife loves living in Glasgow, and then there is the Irish connection, Rodgers is hailed as a Celtic hero in Ireland.
