Abada was one of the worst wingers I've seen.

Dangerous ghosting into empty zones (like Kyogo), but put a ball in front of him and ask him to take a man on, he hadn't a clue.

Kuhn turned out to be a complete *, but at least he could play his position.

Abada was a useless footballer in general terms but he was still ten times as dangerous as Yang because he had intelligent movement and could finish.

Yang is an * footballer in comparison.

    No arguments there.

Yang would be as well stood outside selling match day programs.

No he wasn't. Kühn's form did drop off a lot but he was always a much better winger than Abada.

He’s a completely different player when we’re a few goals ahead.

Winger Yang was another who drew praise from the manager after having a strong impact off the bench.

But he wasn't the only one, with a number of fringe men seizing the opportunity to impress.

Rodgers added: "He (yang) did and he was very good. Came in and played with freedom, was excellent and that's what we want from movement was clever. Rolled inside when he had to and worked very hard. So, so yeah, overall really, really pleased.

"Again a lot of players who haven't played come in, they were there, giving great value to the team and like I say we had a really good variety in our attack tonight I thought. We crossed it, we made good runs, and yeah we were precise around the box when we had to be, but the variety in our play I thought was was excellent."

You know what’s mad, when he’s on it he’s got some of the best close control at speed we’ve had in ages. Maybe it’s confidence? But when he actually runs at a full back at pace he usually gets past them. The minute he cuts back inside is when the decision making isn’t as good or he makes a safe pass backwards.

rodgers needs to tell him to just hit the byline every time. Unless the coaching is to cut inside?

    I
Always say that he’s unbelievable one v one but nothing else.

I do think the idea generally is to get an overload wide then cut backs but hitting the byline is coached out of them all now like everything else people enjoy.

He needs to watch Forrest when he cuts in the park, always makes the right decision and Yang stops dead and has to go back the park

To be fair though it’s only taken Forrest 10 years+ to get that right haha! Used to be so frustrating when he cut inside before. He’s perfected that with age and experience now. Genuinely do see similarities between how the two play from when forrest started too

I think Forrest has always been superb but see if he had the game understanding he has now when he was at his peak he would have been at the top end of the premier league. I think he’s so clever with hia use of the ball now.

Forrest about 2 weeks into Rodgers pre-season the first time he came in. Like the difference almost immediately in him is the most obvious impact of what the right manager can do. And it was right off the bat like he just got something to click.

He had talent and that before hand, but never put it all together.

I’ve went from trying to not hate him to really liking him, could I * tell you what I think of as a footballer, that changes week to week with his consistency

But I love his attitude. He never hides. Works hard, and is working on his game. Guys who have been much better players and not had a slither of that attitude are the guys I reserve dislike for a Celtic player of. Ntcham always the first for that

@honda somebody brought up Griffiths elsewhere. I change it from Ntcham to him.

Would love they types to be like Yang is. Was genuinely pleased for him coming on playing very good tonight, for some reason the fans slaughtered him for Ajax. Cause BR said he’s a first team player I think.

Is he really though? He’s a guy that’s not got any sorta consistent pattern anywhere.

We’ve had so many theories so far but Yang is just Celtic’s chaos theory. Might pull off some 5 star fifa skill, might run into a player. Who knows
