Still can’t believe we didn’t just take Bolton’s offer and let him go, he is miles of the standard required.

 

Yeah hes miles off what we need. I dont even see anything of promise to be honest. I think a loan out to a bottom half spfl club would benefit him. He needs minutes and he just isnt going to make it at celtic.

 

I think Calvin Miller looked way better even with limited opportunities he had.
For, me wouldn't even start for Falkirk.

 

I feel people talk about him as if he's a teenager showing a bit of effort. He's not and he shows nothing. Why he's getting game time ahead of Yamada and Osmond is pathetic really.

Should have sold him while we could, his value is just going to go down. Him having a solid conference league gave him some value.

I think the plan will be to loan him at some stage, then get a fee for him as a result of the loan deal.
To give him another contract will be a club decision and not Brendan’s. They’ll see a bigger profit somewhere down the line. Me personally I’m not sure, I’d have sold to Bolton.

 

Just start Yamada fs, could see his runs and positioning are already better than Idah & Kenny.

 

Gonna sound like one of my 13 year old nephews but he just doesn’t have that Aura to be starting up top for Celtic. Just does a lot of running and nothing else.

"Yeah, I think he worked very hard. He's an honest boy who gives his all in the game and that's what the team's about. Didn't have so many chances, a couple of good wee runs, didn't quite drop to him in the box, but I thought he worked very hard and then created the chance then for Shin Yamada to come on."

 

Was in the last year of his contract and the only team in for him was Bolton who valued him at £500k

Big opportunity passed him by tonight. And by the time he went off he knew it. He had enough of a sniff of goal to make it count and he got the ball a couple times exactly where he would want it, in behind off the shoulder defender behind his body. And he didn’t nail the first touch. And that looked like him overthinking it, shame for him that I do like him. Think he’ll go on loan now if we get a striker in or a LW for Maeda to go up top.

I’d love him at Aberdeen, but they wouldn’t go for it regardless. Hibs are another, and they would be daft not to with him last season in the conference, and how much he’d suit their style.

If he does go on loan, he needs a great season to have any chance here now. Might be drastic all that off one game, but he needed to take the chance tonight not just work hard

I'm sorry, the best thing he could muster was our starting striker created the chance for our Japanese punt striker to replace him? This is tragic. Tragicomedy.

 

He's a good honest lad but, for the moment at least, he's not at the level we require. Hope he has a good career in the game but I'll be surprised if it's with us.
