Hold my hands up with that one then, Always been in my head he never got a chance next to CCV. But it mixes in with CCV missing group games and Ange never managing to have his first choice defence in Starfelt and CCV start in the CL.

 

Don't think there would be many more after Starfelt returned but they definitely played a handful together when he 1st came in.

He was also unfortunate and had to play next to Welsh a few times. I remember they 2 together v st Mirren when we got beat and away to Leipzig.

Welsh had an uncanny ability of making everyone around him look worse.

 

I think I’m mixing up never being able to have CCV and Starfelt together under Ange in the CL as CCV not playing with a CB I liked

They two started the 1-1 Shahktar game as well. I’ve swore down dead CCV missed the CL group stage under Ange as well

EDIT: Jenz and CCV the away Shakhtar game as well… questioning everything I’ve ever been sure of now

 

Aye I think initially it was Starfelt that had injury issues at the start of that season and then CCV did too hence why Welsh and Jenz played away in Leipzig.

Think we also lost McGregor that nite quite early on and ended up with Abilgarrd at DM

 

CCV played 4 of 6 CL games under Ange. I went down the rabbit hole with that there, was never first choice defence available to us but I’ve got that mixed up with Starfelt and CCV not available together.

Abelgaard! Jesus that’s another guy, I had high hopes for, big 6’4 solid DM who can pass the ball. Rarely seen. He’s at Como now but was loaned out. We’ve got some amount of bizarre signings to our name as a club
