We are going to need to take at least a 4-0 lead at home.

Us if if’s down to that, our fanbase worldwide is far bigger. But not big enough for them to really care either way, they’d rather both if anything.

They’d rather us than a team from Kazakhstan definitely. That’s not a thing that comes into it at all mate.

Is it at home first? * of an away trip but actually so much happier it’s not Slovan who we destroyed last season, it’s a team we haven’t played and need to prove it against.

Slovan my worry was going out thinking we’re that much better because the 5-1

    Almaty tickets are on sale.

Seems like a good number of ST holders didn’t take up the option to buy. I was able to get seats together in 112 and 113, which is almost never the case.

Still hundreds if not thousands available.

Tickets for Celtic’s UEFA Champions League play-off match are on general sale now and available to all supporters.

The Hoops will face FC Kairat Almaty of Kazhakstan at Paradise on Wednesday, August 20 (KO: 8pm) as they fight for a coveted spot in the league phase of the European competition.

We’ve been here before and we can do it again – be there to cheer the Bhoys on to victory and to help create that famous Paradise atmosphere.

Be there for the atmosphere, for the moments and for the dream.

Tickets are available to buy online only, priced at £39

Can't believe what our forward options are going into our biggest fixture of the season.

Celts face Falkirk in the Premier Sports Cup on Friday night but plans are already underway for the gruelling 7000-mile round trip to Kazakhstan for the Kairat second leg a week on Tuesday.

And Rodgers revealed Hoops chiefs will be pulling out the stops to make sure the squad travel in style.

Celts hired a jet used by MADONNA for their last trip to Kazakhstan and will be going in style again this time.

Rodgers said: “Hopefully a plane that gives you the chance to relax and get a rest and recovery.

When you travel that far, there is a serious side to it. There's preparation, not just for the game you're going to, but the game you're coming back for. “So you always want to ensure you get the best possible play that allows you to relax and recover the best you possibly can.

“Whoever's plane it is, I don't really know. But as I said, the club will make the best efforts to get the best one.

Operationally we were very, very good. I think there's no stone unturned to make sure the preparation is right.

“We've got a brilliant operations team here and wherever we go, the pre-seasons, everything, the staff do a brilliant job.

“So logistically, we'll do everything we possibly can to make the journey and the preparation, because it’s such a mammoth journey, so the preparation is key,

The club will do everything we can, I'm sure, to ensure the preparation is what we would want.”

We hit that Slovan Mob for 5 last season they’re not exactly the barometer we should be comparing Almaty against

Astana, who finished 1 point behind Kairat last season, just lost 5-1 on aggregate to Lausanne, a team who finished 5th in the Swiss league.

Again, no excuses with this one.

Any team that only concedes 1 goal in 3 and a half hours of football is going to be difficult to get past.

Are they better than St Mirren? I'd say so, but it took us 87 min. to get one past them.

We're not exactly prolific just now , are we?

Seems to still be a tonne of tickets available.

This is usually a massive game. Board are slowly trying to strangle the life out of this club.

Let's be honest if Dundee United can score 4 against Rapid Vienna and Hibs 2 away vs Partizan we should be dispatching this mob even with the squad as is.

Looking at Opta’s power rankings Almaty would be the 5th best team in Scotland not a million miles off the quality of St Mirren funnily enough

Not even just that if we had a mental injury crisis we should still be doing them.

    Sinisalo
    Ralston Welsh JSP Inamura
    Bernardo
    Engels McCowan
    Yang Kenny Yamada

That XI should be beating them home and away. They're probably like the standard of Livingston or Ross County when they were decent, will be big average hard working guys, maybe organised and solid but they'll not have any quality.

Aye the board could have really taken a step in the right direction and made tickets 20 quid, tenner for kids or whatever: nah, milk the customers I mean fans even more. All this at a time when they can’t bring themselves to spend money strengthening the “product” on the park. 39 quid is a * take

If we're the seeded team, shouldn't we be away first?
