I switched off to this year’s summer transfer window, not because I don’t get excited about who we are going to sign, just that I knew that this board would pull the same stunts on Rodgers when we haven’t automatically qualified for the CL.

Our board are so predictably gutless in the transfer window, anyone would think that Desmond was broke the way he goes about business, short arms and long pockets Desmond strikes again.

Biggest elephant in the room that isn't even getting asked on your SSBs and the like is - what the * is the plan for all that money in the bank??

That’s it mate. Brendan was asked are any transfers imminent, when he said no they should be asking why not.

Yeah, the whole CL fate decided first is a known myth but the cash in the bank is sat there and none of us know why. Is it to improve the infrastructure? Is it purely a rainy day fund (daft as * reason)? is it to compete with the huns if they eventually get their act together?

I think it's as simple as - no obvious profit, no purchase.
Anything above £3M, again clear path to profit and only if the decks are burning.

As someone said before, we are a PLC business that happens to have sporting department and are no longer a football club in the traditional sense.
    It's absolutely tragic.

Even by their low standards that article is a shocker there are so many errors in it. Talks about Antwerp playing in Eredivisie instead of Jupiler league, calls Irving a 22 year old he’s 25 and then quoting Richard Foster is just when you know you have hit the bottom.

    Won’t be much happening tomorrow

It’s Dermot Desmond's birthday and the club will be busy celebrating the big 75

Can't believe we are doing this again. Must be a record for being underprepared for on paper one of the biggest games of your season. We do it every time with these qualifiers.

Astounded we haven't at the least replaced Kuhn. Like I know we are bad, but cmon. Relying on the likes of 34 year old Forrest and Yang to fire us to the UCL. Here's hoping Idah gets taken over by one of they wee Martians from Space Jam ffs

The way Maeda has been this season so far he looks like a Martian has taken his ability, Idah just doesn’t have much ability.

My only hope is one or both, or a wildcard in Yamada have a cracking game vs Falkirk on Friday and their confidence is up for Kairat.

We will need to score goals at home against them to make the away leg less tricky.

I think even the most battle-hardened vets of transfer windows on here are shocked and disturbed by how bad a window this is.

The one thing above all others that we NEEDED to address before the qualifier was getting a first team fight winger in. The fact that that alone has not looked remotely likely to happen is unfathomable.

We got lucky with the draw, but as others have said, our current front 3 might not be enough to get us through.

There’s little to no evidence that the people in charge are striving for this football club to be successful.

May as well sign Bitton and Eoghan O’Connell to play at the back for another play off to take the * out of Rodgers even further.

Make it a proper nostalgia trip.

Really taking a big risk with the qualifiers round the corner - we lose this and it’ll be really toxic and then you’ve got the Huns game.

we should be putting 4 or 5 by that Huns team but as it stands I’m not confident.
