    If we don’t strengthen the starting 11 by at least a right winger and a CF for the qualifiers he should be done for fraud and imprisoned

    We hear this every season we have qualifiers, but have we ever had a year when we've signed multiple players after the qualifers ?

    It's just another myth and delaying tactic

    With the money we have at the moment, qualifying shouldn't really come into it. Maybe in the past, aye.

    It would be nice if we just showed some ambition, regardless. Even with the idea that if we don't qualify somehow, we can have a right good go at the europa.

    Rather than "ah well, nae champs league so that's that". Sad.

    Factor in to that youd also be BUILDING something for next season and another crack at it.

    But Desmond and his straw mem have zero ambition. They see European progression as a bonus, not an incentive.

    When we get knocked out the qaulifiers due to no attacking reinforcements, we can finally win a europa league knockouts tie and pretend we're the best in Europe.

    All of this is so true! I always say now that allowing them tramps to win the league during Covid was similar, no ambition to kick on and grow from the board.

    Last season we had a very decent crack in Europe and 110% should be building this squad to compete in these competitions, the board is happy to fill their pockets with the money we get from being in them or admiring the big amount we have sitting in the bank get it spent.
