How are your confidence levels for the coming season?

Two wins from two but I'm very concerned about the state of our squad right now. It's blatantly not good enough; stale, slow and severely low on quality.

Is Scales our backup LB now as well as main CB? Diabolical on both fronts.

Forrest is 34 and best used as an impact sub yet we're relying on him to start games.

Idah, the less said the better. One of our worst starting strikers in recent times yet there seems to be no urgency to improve that position.

Shin and Kenny, most likely 2nd or 3rd choice strikers at best.

Maeda's form is looking rough but we literally have no LW backup.

Midfield is still powderpuff. Nygren looks decent but doesn't address the glaring physicality issues in there.

What the * are we doing? We honestly need about 4 at a minimum to come in and make a difference. That means no punts or projects.

I'd rather not get CL at this point because we're about to get utterly embarrassed in Europe with our current options.

 

I think we could freshen up our approach. Too much emphasis trying to get the ball out wide and opponents are now pretty dialled in to stopping it.

Numerous times today we lost possession because a ball out wide was played and read by the opposition who intercepted it. Or played to a guy who was marked. Our played wide despite Aberdeen having a 2 v 1 on the player. Or when there was actually no space there.

We should be able to provide more option through the middle. If a ball out wide is on and we have an overlap potential or the space to take a man on 1 v 1 - by all means. But we look to be actively playing wide for the sake of it when its not actually the best pass available.

 

We need more but we'll win the league this year. No worries about that..
