Lawwell may not be directly involved in transfers anymore, but it surely can't be a coincidence that since he's come back, we've reverted back to our old ways of * around in the transfer window, lowballing teams etc.

 

This. No way it's a coincidence that the only time we've looked remotely competent on transfer strategy in the last 10 years is the brief period when Lawwell had no formal role within the club. This crossed my mind the other week as well and I done some digging around him and Joe Dugeon (?) and unsurprisingly, can't find anything about the pair of them since Celtic.
Linkedin pages, media reports etc, neither have seemingly moved on since Celtic.

Tinfoil hat time, wouldn't be surprised if they're still paid by the club in some fashion and the entire thing was just a PR stunt to show we done some in-house clean up, but they're still paid and sunning it up.
