Peter Lawwell also assures the fans at the end of every transfer window that every effort was made to improve the squad. He's a pathological liar so how would his assurances comfort you?

Lawwell may not be directly involved in transfers anymore, but it surely can't be a coincidence that since he's come back, we've reverted back to our old ways of * around in the transfer window, lowballing teams etc.

This. No way it's a coincidence that the only time we've looked remotely competent on transfer strategy in the last 10 years is the brief period when Lawwell had no formal role within the club. Even if he's not pulling strings directly any more, it's his men in there and always has been. Need a total clear out at board level to get things moving again.

It actually took me a while, but it has to be the answer..

Seen on X John McGinn posted 7yrs today he signed for Villa.. what a difference he would have made..

That was 100% Lawwell, unforgivable really.. and he and we are still operating the exact same way..

Lawwell also said that every penny gets reinvested. Him and Keevins are both wanks.

This crossed my mind the other week as well and I done some digging around him and Joe Dugeon (?) and unsurprisingly, can't find anything about the pair of them since Celtic.
Linkedin pages, media reports etc, neither have seemingly moved on since Celtic.

Tinfoil hat time, wouldn't be surprised if they're still paid by the club in some fashion and the entire thing was just a PR stunt to show we done some in-house clean up, but they're still paid and sunning it up.

His influence is etched all over the way in which we conduct our business, regardless of the title or supposed role he holds at the club.

If Michael Nicholson is having a dilemma during negotiations for a player, who do you think he is picking up the phone to for advice?

Someone with ambition, drive, and knowledge of the inner workings of modern football?

Or the fat, tight arsed relic who mentored him?

Aye, I'm to believe that our process of recruitment being exactly as incompetent as 10 years ago has zero to do with the parasite who's still on the board.

Or his evident indoctrination of Nicholson in that way of doing business.

    A cancer at the club.

He could be a force to reckon with if we use him properly by taking those on in charge at the top of Scottish football.

Instead we allow him to stick his nose into transfers.

Something that’s mad to me about him is for years the accusation was he’s greedy, bonuses and big wage, only wage comparable to Premiership was his.

He retired. Now gets maybe 5% of what it was. And came back into the limelight, and clearly does a lot of the same role he had,

    thats ego. Pure ego

Going by the screen grab yesterday, aye his wage is nowhere near the £2m or that he was getting back in the day.
    £40k to Desmond as well.

My bet is that screen grab isn't the full picture though

Maybe they aren't taking an annual £2m for themselves, but there will be other benefits and money making out of all of this for them.

The year he went (Anges first season), we were starting to look like a well run club again. Coincidence?
