Defender Adam Obert is at the center of the transfer market. The young Cagliaritalent has attracted interest from several clubs in recent weeks, particularly in Scotland. His performances have convinced many to follow him closely and to initiate initial investigations into a possible transfer. The center-back, despite his young age, has proven to be a promising player, and Cagliari's management knows they have a gem on their hands. The news, reported by L'Unione Sarda , confirms the interest of a top European club.

Among the clubs that have made the most insistent advances, Celtic , one of the most prestigious teams in Scottish football, stands out. The Glasgow club submitted a concrete offer for Obert, but Cagliari deemed it too low. The fee proposed did not reflect the Sardinian club's valuation of their defender. This refusal demonstrates Cagliari's determination not to sell the player for less than his true value. The Sardinian club has no intention of selling off its talents and intends to maximize the value of the player if he is sold. Celtic's offer, though concrete, did not convince the Rossoblu management, who decided to wait for more attractive proposals.

Cagliari , while aware of Obert's importance to their defense, hasn't ruled out selling him, but only if they receive acompelling offer. The club, confident in its position, knows the player still has plenty of room for growth and that his value could increase further. Cagliari's policy is clear: if a team willing to pay a significant fee comes along, negotiations could take off. Otherwise, Obert will remain a key player for the team, at least for another season.

The situation remains evolving, and it's not out of the question that Celtic, or other clubs, could return with a new offer. The transfer window is still long, and Cagliari's request is a clear sign that the price for the young Slovakian talent is high.

I know but supposedly he's very comfortable at left back so potentially being brought in to cover both Tierney and left CB.

We'd just buy a left back then surely. We had Scales playing there on Sunday and that's where he played a lot of his football for Shamrock Rovers and the Irish u21s. I don't think we need a third CB who can cover LB in the squad. The only credible stance I see in this link is if we are expecting to move Trusty on before the window shuts.

If he's got potential to play both positions well I don't see the problem tbh, as we know Tierney's game time should be managed better and scales isn't a viable option for regular games at LB.

His range of passing is unreal for a CB/LB, quick and strong as well he’d have no issue playing left back. We should 100% be getting him in.

Get him in, send Inamura out on loan. We’d have really good options in all defensive positions.

I like what I’ve seen of Inamura so far, but he’s unproven and we’re a Tierney injury away from having to start him or Scales at LB in crucial European matches.

I think if he’s a left footed centre back he should be starting
