im not so sure nygren is actually suited to playing our midfield as he is. Also never played there regularly before so feels like we’re maybe trying square pegs in round holes with him. Just looked too he’s played RW for Sweden and RW/also ST for nordsjaelland. So not got a clue why we’re playing him CM other than Rodgers doesn’t think he’s fast enough for out wide

pace in midfield is always a plus but i wouldn’t say diomande,raskin (and can’t remember who else played) are generally that fast.

I think he is. McGregor maybe a bit of a problem if it's Hatate and Nygren possibly and would help to have someone with more legs who could get across when teams break. Whatever trio we go with is still a bit of an issue just now when looking at that list..

if that’s what you’re thinking we need nygren definitely isn’t that for central midfield. I added another bit to my post after checking his games^ and he’s just not a central midfielder in any way at all.

very strange if we don’t then play him in his positions that have got him Sweden apps in a solid attack. Especially atm when we know our winger options are dire.

This is embarrassing and depressing. The huns(or indeed any team, just mentioning them cause they're our main rival and also cause we usually laugh at them for being a mess) identify areas which need strengthened and players who can do it, are given an asking price, pay it and then the players come in and make a difference in their qualifier.

We’re in huge danger of going in to complete oblivion in European football if we’re run like this for another 5 years.

Minnows like Union Saint Gilloise, Midtjylland, and others like them will by pass us due to the difference in professionalism and expertise.

Think it's pretty clear it's not just how cosmically bad we are at transfer windows, it's the fact that other clubs realise and our reputation precedes us.

I've often been angry at how it feels like we go back to that same well over and over again, but the reason for this is so blindingly obvious to me now.

Once we finally find someone who is willing to put up with our utter, penny-pinching drivel, our board think they have made it, relax and only use these people.

Most clubs probably have us blocked from the outset.

I really cannot believe we are heading into the 2nd game of the season, with the CL qualifier deadline looming having not signed 1 winger. Our supporters are infuriatingly passive with the board.
