I'd say we deffo are a bit. You'd imagine he'd be on around 15 at least..

Tilio wouldn't be surprised if he's on a third of that..

 

Not sure what Tilio is on but I recall some Greek journalist at the time of Palma's signing sayng he was signing a contract for €12k a week so roughly £10k which isn't huge money. Can't see there being a huge difference with Tilio - maybe £6-7k

 

I'd be very surprised if there's only 3 grand difference..

Palma, a Honduras international and who had done really well in the Greek top flight..

Tilio, wasn't even that highly rated by Aussies, in a very poor standard league..

Tilio a novice at 21 from Oz. Palma 23 and already more seasoned abroad..

 

He was playing for a midtable Greek side, doubt they have much of a budget. As for being a Honduras international, again hardly a huge deal. He doesn't even start for them and they've only a handful of players playing in Europe. Most of the interational side is made up of domestic based players.

I'd say they are relatively similar wages and are of relatively similar quality. Its arguable who the bigger team of Poznan and Rapid Vienna and its arguable who will make the better fist of their moves if Tilios goes through.

They had another boy the Trinidad winger who was rated over 10 mill. He was banging them in and one of their best players..

He was also Honduras star man til recently because he's barely been playing..

Tilio has been going back to Australia and is the most out his depth celtic player I've ever seen. Palma isn't for us but has performed against the likes of Atletico and Lazio if I remember right..

You can play mental gymnastics but Palma is miles clear of Tilio, no matter how much i want both gone..

 

Again I don't agree. I think Palma is one of the worst players I've seen in a Celtic shirt. He runs like an arthritic granny. Olympiakos sent him packing fairly quickly. It will be interesting to see if it pans out.

According to this article Palma was on €70k a year in Greece with Aris and is on £11k a week at Celtic.

Is he really any worse than Yang?

I say if flippantly as Ive never seen him play, but given how bad Yang is I woudnt be against giving Tilio a crack just in case. Grim when its go to that but it is where we are.

I haven't a clue why he hasn't been sold...this we don't have enough cover is pish because he's never getting a game..just sell him because it might be the only chance we get.

It's night and day. Yang is erratic and can be infuriating but he can beat a man and has a level there that is good enough if he could consistently contain it. Palma can't beat a full back and ends crossing from very deep or trying to clip balls in behind that never come off. I think Palma would struggle to make it at Motherwell nevermind here.

 

get this joker to * and yang along with him ,christ almighty didnt mccowan used to play on the right ,hatate played at rb played a blinder he could fill in rw ,engels played rb too wouldnt be a strech for him to play there too .better yet sign two * players for the rw

 

McCowan did play right wing for us last season at the end of the game. It worked out very badly. Think it might have been Dundee away but it's something I would not like to have to revisit.
