There’s definitely been a shift this window. Seeing a lot of, usually, more forgiving and patient fans start to show their frustration.

I don’t think the board realises the mood in the bulk of the support. One or two bad results between now and the end of the window and * could hit the fan.

Its always difficult to know just what is playing out behind the scenes and obviously fans arent privy to all the detail.

When the club can see the restlessness and the mood building you would think they would have the wherewithall to give some kind of statement or reassurance though.

Sucks the life out the fanbase. Creates a sideshow for the manager etc. All avoidable.

    It's deliberate.

I'm sure as a forum we had this conversation, I think around Anges second season about the boards routines and behaviours. It is predictable as * and it's * loathsome.

We get new guy in, give him the world (relatively speaking) fans are buzzing about a perceived change in behaviour, second season rolls along, investment is there but somewhat more withdrawn, but enough to just paper over cracks, like disguising over paying and dragging Idah deal for example where it got a point I dont think many really wanted the deal anymore given his move was getting close to the £9mill mark.

Come 3rd season, there is now a clear disconnect between the fans, manager and board, there has clearly been disagreements, it becomes obvious individuals at board level are just counting the cash and hoarding it like some demented dwarf deep in their cave refusing to spend any of it.

    * hits the fan, manager leaves, back to 1st year under a new manager.

Sick of it now, I dont think it can be debates anymore that the board clearly only operate to level that deliberately kneecaps this club and allows others around us to stay within touching distance

Maybe slightly off topic but squad depth and consistency related, I believe. If we look at last season our most potent front 3 were Kyogo, Kuhn and Maeda. Two have gone as we know and I pose this question; what’s the likelihood of Maeda having a similar season to last? Not very high would be my opinion and therefore we should have a plan for such. Not saying he won’t be very good and I know BR has improved him no end but I’m not sure he can hit the heights of last season.

Had this discussion with @Foley1888 earlier. I * love Maeda and I think you would be hard pressed to find a better player in world football when it comes to pressing, energy, tracking back.

However, he’s never been the greatest technically and after a really phenomenal season, the sort of clubs we aspire to be (Feyenoord, Salzburg, Club Bruges) would have sold him by now after a season like that.

The reality is, we don’t have the same standard of recruitment than these clubs and because of that, we try hold onto our better players. Feyenoord have sold 5 of their first team players in the last 2 windows for around £130m and spent about £80m replacing them. £50m profit on 2 windows and I’ll tell you now, they look stronger on paper, for me.

It’s now gotten to the point that even if they do pull a few amazing signings out a hat it’s still not good enough.
As many have said we’ve started the season substantially weaker up front than last season and that is truly pathetic from all involved

Why are the board a bunch of *?

I was excited about how much money we have.. because it should spell complete dominance of Scotland and a team capable of making it through the league phase and beyond in the CL.

Thought after we spent 26m on 3 players last year they had finally woken up to what needs to be done. Those players may be largely flops, but even if so you could still easily recoup about 16m. A 10m loss is * all, plus Engels might still turn out to be a star.

instead of taking that “loss” on the chin and hunting for better, we’ve decided to curl up in the foetal position, suck our collective thumb and go to our happy place of signing players the manager doesn’t want for 0-2m.

We should be spending the guts of £30m on a striker and a winger, with another in on loan to cover Jota. That’s it, that’s all it takes. Even if you can’t afford the wages or can’t convince these hypothetical players to come, go down a level. Find the 6-9m range players.

But alas, no. For the umpteenth window in a row we have done the square root of sweet * all with massive games coming thick and fast.

This will cost us Rodgers. This will cost us the league. This will cost us champions league football. Maybe not this season, but it’s coming.

    * you Michael Nicholson you absolute spineless * of a man.

At least there’s a few active rumours in the rumours thread. Hope there’s something in them

There's a few rumours going around that fans are sick to the back teeth of this * happening year in year out. We now recognise that our board don't give a flying * about the actual footballing side of Celtic and are only interested in making big bucks. They don't have a clear vision like many other clubs such as Feyenoord etc and are just suits in a very comfy and well paid job. * the lot of them
