Change the title from “panic” to “protest”.

I think the reality that seems to be missed here is we need players to actually get through this qualifier. We are so short in attacking areas at the moment.

I know we battered Slovan last year but that was a team playing in good form and Kuhn absolutely flying at the time. That’s to say it’s them and not Kairat we end up playing. We need two attacking players in minimum before that qualifier.

I’ve never like comparing us with them zombie * pigs and to be fair we haven’t needed to for a long time regarding when they were oldco.

But the fact of the matter is there was signs last season regarding them improving and getting better, against us and had Rodgers number that way.

They have got better investors and people who know how to run football clubs with infrastructure.

People can laugh and crack jokes about them etc, they done the same when the Bunnet took over us.

While fans have been laughing at them, they have managed to strengthen their side and by the looks of it got some decent players in. They have spent 18 million already.

As much as we can laugh at Martin he swung the Axe to some of their old guard and they played better.

Can you see Rodgers making them changes with us? Can you see the board making signing that will make us better?

Does the board have long term plans regarding what’s on the pitch?

We are a * joke of a club the way we are run regarding constantly downgrading and not had a strong challenger due to them dying.

This will be the pivotal season regarding letting them back in, it’s already in motion and I honestly can’t see them changing its course cause we haven’t backed Rodgers regarding what’s needed and he will be off at some point in the next year regarding seeing out his contract or leaving again for a better paid job.

The board are not asleep at the wheel they are in a * coma.

Genuinely astounded if this board can look at the attacking areas and think we have enough even to successfully negotiate this Qualifier.

    Even Pittodrie.

What the * is going on?

Back to the time old tradition of being dreadfully unprepared for the qualifiers. This time its with the attack rather the the defence. If maeda gets injured this week it will be some laugh.

Sorry to keep going back to this example but its ridiculous looking at a similar club to ourselves in terms of European situation, league attraction, but we have a * load of cash to splash the only difference.
    Feyenoords summer signings, totalling £26.5m:

We only need to look across the city at the moment to a team in an even worse European situation who are showing more ambition.

True, I would rather us target some of the players Feyenoord have gone for than the Huns but their wide players do look good in fairness.

Going to be very little tolerance for dropped points while we fail to strengthen.

If this month goes badly thing will get ugly.

Solbakken went to Denmark for less than £1mill.

Not saying he is the answer, but is yet again evidence that deals for good players do exist and we are just * at casting our net out wide.

Not that it matters because I agree with the argument you're making but they have brought in nearly £90m in sales this summer alone and they brought in close to £50m in January as well. They've also spent £50m this summer but on players I think we could have easily brought in.

It's infuriating, to be honest. We've brought in nearly £30m in sales and sell ons and have spent £2m.

The Bajcetic link isn't even very exciting, we already have ample cover in the midfield, yes a DM would be a good addition for us as that is the weakness in our mid but he's not going to put McGregor out the team so he's a squad player.

We're no going to go away from a 4-3-3 (or 4-3-3) adjacent so if we sign anything other than attacking players right now it's not giving us immediate improvement.

As it stands, we have basically used the lagerbielke money as the only spend.

Nygren and Tierney are good signings, but if Nygren is a midfield it's again, not been a key address needed. Tierney great, but the cover is as lacking as before (Innamura looked good in Pre-Season but I til we see more can't really say if he's going to be sufficient cover at LB)

Yamada is an unknown, but the fact we've not seen him really, and that Kenny was brought in before him does not bring confidence. Likewise with Osmand, one of him or Kenny needs to go on loan.

Doohan is a straight swap for Bain squad position wise, no complaints but also don't expect to see him at all basically.

Jahmai, if he is an improvement on Scales/ Trusty then great, I don't care that it's just a loan.

Right now we are an injury or 2 away from not having a front 3.

We have 0 depth at left wing, 5 options for striker (including Daizen) and Yang and Forrest as the only right options (aye Forrest can do both but we know he's far better on the right, he's also 34)

At this point now seeing the business Feyenoord have done, I'd be curious to see us taking a punt on Jaden Slory from them.

Bearing in mind im clutching at anything and think that type deal could appease the board as he could be a cheap punt. Problem is it won't do anything for Rodgers

Need a lb in. Even if its a loan i think. KT isnt fully fit and unlikely to handle a full season slog of 50 games.

It would be a needless gamble hoping inamira can depitise on the basis of a few weeks pre season.

Hate to say it but wed have been as well hanging onto schlupp

I know we wouldn’t be up to their levels of sales but if we were more agressive in our player trading strategy like Feyenoord, Club Brugge etc we could easily bring in bigger numbers. Those clubs actively look to move players on when their value is high. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t always work out and it needs careful planning but they are prepared to flip half a team a season basically.

I actually think we should have been selling more first team players this summer whilst their CL performance value was high from last year. Maeda is the prime example, I don’t think at any other point in his career could you get £20m+ for Maeda.

However, you can’t do that if you are signing only projects from Japan and replacing your third choice keeper.

To me we actually made a good start to the summer window Tierney tied up before the start, Nygren secured for less than £1.5m. However, we should have another 2 of those type deals lined up.

The same with the progress in moving on players we will likely end up landed back with Palma, Nawrocki, Tilio (if he goes), Holm, Yang (if he goes) and Welsh next year again to deal with.

When we were selling Kuhn his replacement should have been coming through the arrivals as he was heading out the departure lounge but here we are a month on and nothing.

It really needs to get sorted and fast we have went from a need for quality to actually now just needing functional players that are better than Idah and Yang to start games for us. Likely having to pay over the odds for them or settle for high cost loans and leaving a new manager next year with an Ange scale rebuild.

It isn’t sabotage but it’s that incompetent that you can see why folk reach that conclusion.

I’m genuinely a bit shocked by this window so far.

Based on the rumours from January and the sale of Kuhn I thought we’d see a Rodgers approved striker and winger come in fairly early in the window and then we’d enter this slog for a backup LB, a DM, cover for LW and RW.

I never had any notion we’d be letting Yang and Forrest battle it out for starting RW - and clearly Rodgers expected more for ST too.

Whatever happens we can’t keep functioning like this. No one expects a perfect window but we can’t normalise this approach either.

Exactly, I keep thinking back to that Ange quote about being aggressive and fluid in the transfer market. High turnover of players to maximise the amount of profit. Re-invest ambitiously, rinse and repeat. Make CL football will drive the revenues and value of players simultaneously.

Just so many missed opportunities and our progress is being slowed to a snails pace by those in charge.
