Keep saying it but genuinely speechless at our lack of activity and particularly having no winger in..

It's beyond disgusting at this point..

    Season started
    Champions league on the horizon

Then having to get players in who'll be up to speed and can adapt/gel with the team..

For reference, the Engels rumours were circulating well before this point last year and he was signed on the last day.

I’d genuinely not be shocked if don’t sign anyone else.

The board are sick * honestly, hanging out the team, management and fans to dry. Need a proper footballing structure in place pronto, but with the jobs for the boys * that goes on it will never happen. Every summer is the same, sickening.

I don't think we have anything pr anyone planned at the moment. We are waiting on the fallout on deadline day.

Remember tho time and time again we have been promised QUALITY. Dont let these * away with it. It's nearly time for action by the fans.

Its not nearly time for action mate. Its well passed due.

I said it earlier in the thread, over a week ago, that the GB need to get their arses in gear too. Theyre the only * who can influence our wider support.

Negative PR is the only thing that spurs that * Desmond to let his dogs off the leash in the market ( and even then he has them on shock collars and muzzles), whether thats derived from a league loss, protests or or just sustained negative stories about his running of our club.

Theres still too many fans in our ranks sitting on their hands in baseless hope that the club will let loose a signing spree no one seen coming, and pointing to late window deals from the past.

Its not good enough. Regardless of who was signed when, waiting for clubs to feel the heat of the transfer clock ticking down so you can try to get cut prices is a * disgraceful gamble. All for the sake of a maybe a couple of million here or there.

I totally agree with not allowing clubs to set prices way above value. I think its right we walk away from overpriced players.
But someone please explain to me how, when its clearly OBVIOUS (and * tragic) we are shopping in the same market as Sevco, that those * can snap up players theyre linked with after a week or so, and at respectable prices too?

How does this late stage window shopping actually * help when you look at the ridiculous price we ended up paying for Idah, or Engles for that matter?

The level of rank incompetence we display concerning incoming transfers is nothing short of a * travesty.

And i for one am quite happy to point the finger at so called happy clapper supporters as much as Desmond for this mess; the only reason the club operates like this is because we let them.

Can you imagine the backlash they will face if Sevco waltz into the CL on the back of performances from and goals from new signings, and we fall at our only hurdle because of squad weaknesses they refused to address?

Some * are going to pull the "* you yapping aboot Sevco for" but that comparison seems to be the only thing that computes in some fan's heads.

    Actions needed now. Now.

2 weeks until the games that shape our whole season and we are still inactive. Sheer negligence

Tbf to them, the summer window is notoriously hard to do business in.

Unless Celtic really surprise me i reckon we are fishing in the same pond as the huns and they are getting deals done.

I keep hoping we are gonna do something to shut us all up but I cant see it.

I’ll believe it when I see it mate.

I’d be astounded if we’re even capable of concluding 4 deals for first team players in 3 weeks given the pace that we operate at.

I’m absolutely desperate to be proven wrong though.

Couple days earlier than I wanted, because I thought I could hold out for 10th August onwards.

But I just don't see it now, I dont see how Celtic spend anymore, be it another £1 or £11mill.

The point in which any decent transfers could happen that could really spur on the fans is gone - the manager and the board are clearly on different paths so the board will just allow this season to go to *, gamble with it being just bad enough where the attention is on Rodgers and not like Lennon during covid season where we collectively rounded on the board for sitting on their hands.

Problem is that gamble won't work because fans are already at boiling point with the club and whilst they may back Rodgers for his initial comments about "I'm not the man if they just want to maintain" no one is safe from criticism over the handling of this situation.

I'm * tired with how this club is run every 3rd season, rather than building on the success we always, without fail deliberately kneecap ourselves

While I absolutely understand everyones lack of belief and their anger with regards to the current situation, we have signed at least 3 players in the final month of the window for the last 5/6 years.

It's not good enough, it's went beyond waiting for the proper targets, especially when we are starting Yang and Idah up front but we absolutely will do business.

Absolute not true. Even joke clubs like rangers have signed wingers with ease. Wingers who would prefer us over them.

Everyone at our level have done most of their business.

Looks to stem from a clickbait article from Football Insider because Liverpool have some young 18 year old midfielder who has been promoted to the 1st team for the coming season so Bajcetic will likely be allowed leave.

Doesn't really mention anything concrete about Celtic interest. Seemingly he is currently injured also. Mark Hendry said there was nothing in the rumours and he is usually fairly reliable in this sense. There doesn't seem to be any real interest there but he could potentially be a backup option with a loan deal near the end of the window.

Looking at our business last year.

McCowan was clearly a backup option all summer, we knew it would be a relatively easy deal to conclude, he was in the last year of his contract, his wages would be low and he was a boyhood Celtic fan so he was always likely to prioritise us. So he was a fall back option if others didn't go through. He was linked from the start of the summer.

Trusty was first linked on the 22nd August. Engels first linked on the 14th of August.

I think we will see a few names pop up after the 1st leg, particularly if we can build a commanding league. Another reckless gamble from the board but this is the way they mismanage our football club.
