To be fair, I'd be much more suspicious of anybody in a boardroom position that wanted the limelight.

The one man who was up for the job was Dom McKay he gave the board a heart attack that first windows players every other day

 

The CEO is the most important strategic role in the whole club. Nicholson is completely out of his depth here, there is no strategy to utilise our resources and grow the club and there is a growing animosity between the board and the club largely because our CEO can't communicate our strategy and won't make any effort to allay fans concerns and frustrations. All we get is a vacuum of silence.

Of course Desmond is a huge problem but you're completely letting Nicholson off the hook. If he's not fit to do the job he should step aside.

He did but Dom McKay was literally in the door, from a completely different sport and was trying to bring in people to run the club in the right way. We all know he wanted to put in a proper footballing structure because he said as much.

He came in and was effectively told that he was the man who needed to negotiate deals, speak to agents, speak to clubs. He clearly didn't have the knowledge to do that and clearly wasn't interested in doing that.

 

Must be absolutely buzzing that Lawwell is still here as he gets away with it.
