Paulo Bernardo has the ability to deputise and give Callum a rest sometimes. It's a shame Bernardo seems to have completely forgotten how to play football.

I said often, not never. Just when I think of most teams captains, most of them play week in week out.

I agree though that someone who can add something different defensively could be beneficial in games and I wouldn't be against seeing McGregor moved up one or playing a double pivot on occasion.

What makes you think that? Thought it’s him being delayed returning his break starting later due to U21’s Euros? Similar to AJ and CCV with their international duty

Thought he was head and shoulders above everyone on the park today. Amazes having played in the middle of the park myself how easy he makes the game look.

Was a class act yday. Done everything. Took us forward with his half turns n passing so many times and read play so well to stop their attacks and win the ball back on a few occassions. Unlucky to have his goal chalked off

If we want to see him consistently play to the level we know he can then we definitely need someone to be able to cover in there. Whether that could be Bernardo or Engles it will be down to Rodgers to manage him correctly.

Good yesterday - but you expect him to be good in these games at home to SPL teams sitting deep where hes plenty of time and space on the ball.

Put our midfield under pressure and it has a habit of looking pretty ordinary. We have struggled to win the midfield battle in most of the recent matches vs Rangers.
