Did he pick up a knock in the last preseason or something..

As he should be ahead in terms of fitness

Aye, but Shin has come midway through the season in Japan should be miles ahead of everyone..

Maybe Rodgers scared in case he fired in a hat-trick and the board go, no ST required here.. :56:

Today should all but guarantee some involvement for him over the next few games. Hoping he starts, doubt he will.

I'd love to see him start v Aberdeen, an absolute unknown quantity for them to deal with, can't wait to see him and Maeda on at same time , defences are gonna get hounded.

He's rapid, play him right wing. Can't be any worse.

Should have got minutes, don't know what Rodgers is playing at, said it in the match thread he showed more positive running and desire to make something happen in half a game than Idah had all pre-season. Even Kenny did, Idah has done nothing to prove he deserved to start today.

Hopefully minutes against Aberdeen, dying for him to be an attacking good news story.

At this point we need him to be a success as we know now what Idah and Kenny bring to the table and it's pish. If we sign another striker I will be very surprised.

Wouldn't be reading too much into Kenny coming on yesterday.kenny has if nothing else worked his socks off all pre season so I think it's a smart move from Rodgers to let yamada have time to settle and properly overtake Kenny and hopefully idah in the 9 spot. Rodgers got away with it too. Wouldn't have been a great look to squad morale doing it the other way around..

Not sure about that. One thing I loved about Ange was when someone came in they were thrown straight into the team to see how they got on.

Give players the chance to stake a claim in games, training is a different kettle of fish altogether.

No pressure at all young man but this clubs’ season depends on you being * Ronaldo reincarnate.

You need to bang in 30 goals, dance for the fans at the end of every game, get Engels smiling again and make Rodgers fall in love with you.

Was disappointed not to see him but same time think Kenny and what they’ve said about him in training and him in pre-season had potentially earned a start, and with Idah starting instead I’m happy he got shown some faith.

We don’t show faith in young guys developing enough, and I like Kenny. Yamada I think won’t be long until forcing himself into a start though, I’m not basing this off much but the little I have saw of Yamada I think he’s going to be a lot better than expected.

Has to get game time before the CL qualifier. If Idah is in plank of wood mode Kenny isn’t the answer.

We will know after the Aberdeen game on Sunday if both Japanese players don't get on the pitch then we know Rogers is at war with the board since they are club signings and we have seen this all before with nawrocki and lagerbelt who both came in and both hardly seen it's looks like a * shambles going on within the club .
