the players or the manager don’t deserve the anger tomorrow

Can honestly see plenty of boos if we aren’t flying early bells here

Wouldn’t be surprised also if there’s a few choice words in the posh area

Would still prefer to see Maeda as striker, even if that meant starting with Forrest and Yang out wide, Maeda up front is where he's optimally utilized

Disagree, he's by far the best option we have to play on the left. We're painfully short on wingers and have Idah, Yamada, Osmand and Kenny to pick from up front. I'd love to see Yamada start but I'm positive Idah will get the nod.

I think we win fairly comfortably, 3-1. I'd be happy with that.

Maeda is far ahead of those four options as striker hence why preferably he'd be starting as striker

If you read my post, I said Maeda is the best option we have on the left. Naturally he's also the best option up front, that goes without saying. So if you're playing our strongest front 3 with our available squad you'd have him on the left with one of our 4 strikers through the middle. He is literally the only left winger in the squad currently which is why he'll start there tomorrow.

I agree he'll start wide left, but Forrest on the left and Yang on the right would have still been fine in order to get Maeda through the middle until better wingers are purchased

I'd start with Maeda out wide and Yamada up front. If it's not working move Nygren out wide with Maeda moving central.

However we just Know it's going to be Idah up front, and once again everby thinking "please let today be the day he comes good"

Call me Mr Contrarion and a stirrer of controversy and that but I think Idah’s capable of maybe scoring against St Mirren at Parkhead.

I know dream big and that, but reach for the stars

Not got a single concern about the chat with backing the manager and team in the stands.

Rodgers gauntlet thrown down moment the other night, that’ll have absolutely aligned the fans behind him. Rodgers is a top tier manipulative * at heart a lot, he’s chose to do ehat he did before the game not after, he knows the fans bubbling anger, he knows what he demands, he has firmly pointed to where frustrations are being made for management and fans. And he knows he goes into tomorrow with the fans right behind what he’s demanded, and got it as fans and manager, up against the big bad board.

He wasn’t speaking a word of a lie, and thats the demands, but he chose his moment and he knows the ripples of his words. He’s very good at controlling the mood and the conversations amongst the fans. Sounds like I’m critical of that style here I think s bit, it’s not that, it’s one of his biggest positives for me. He took a good 18 months to adjust how to now, as its very different relationship than his first stint, and he’s well adapted now

Yeah he's 100% protecting himself and the players if we do struggle to get results between now and the end of the window. However, it'll still lead to a toxic atmosphere if it happens. He can't protect against that.

From kick off though, fans need to back the team and I'm sure they will today.

This is another downside to our reluctance to sign new wingers. Maeda will simply have to be played LW now. He does well there, of course, but atm he's by far our best CF option yet he's unlikely to get much game time there.

No doubt, but he’s shifted everything like that away from him and the team just now.

It’s the awareness of playing the crowd that I think you’ll see when the line up is released, Yang deserves the start of thr left if you look at pre-season performances. But Forrest has more backing from the crowd, is more trusted less volatile towards. Taylors away so the scapegoat there is replaced with KT who is universally adored.

Idah will get it over the slightest wee thing that annoys anyone and I believe he’ll start, Nygren will infront of Engels who id another that gets it. 10 players out there that will have backings and Idah himself can shut up any grumbles early and has done it many times now. When it’s a coin toss for who gets a start between two players, he’ll go with the ones he knows are backed.

i think anyway, he’s done that quite a bit at his time at us, aligning the team and the fans together. And add in the general hilarity of the Huns yesterday, the flag unfurling I’ve no concerns about anything like that.

I’d be mote than disappointed if we do tbh. We can be our biggest hinderance to ourselves from the stand to thr pitch sometimes, we’ve all sat at games for some reason theres just a gloom over the crowd, the game 20 mins in hasn’t lightened it up and then every face gets the big groan, the fucksskes * shouting abuse, and it feeds onto the pitch. He’s doing everything to get us on the same boat. Often overlooked aspect of the level of quality in managers that.

Idah is a better striker than Yang is a winger. So I think that it makes more sense to play Maeda as a winger.
