Although we all agree we're a bit of a shambles..

    Protest chants aren't warranted ffs..

We've signed what, 8 players? And have a month left of the window.. even if we are gambling with CL Qualification..

Probably are not just yet but believe me, if we lose an early goal or are struggling to break down St Mirren, you're going to hear the chants.

Same here. KT is going to get some welcome back.

4.30 kick off so I am also looking forward to getting pints in Connolly's and walking up through the Barras. Hopefully get good weather for it.

Said before that no one wants to start the season with protests but it’s more than likely it’ll happen.

It’s not a reaction to this window in isolation, its supporters growing tired of the board selling the club short time and time again.

We have unprecedented levels of cash reserves in the bank. Supporters pay up for rising season ticket costs and kit their families out in the latest merch…

Yet they know the board aren’t putting the best possible product on the pitch. And there’s no excuses for it, zero.

Do you think what has happened this season and prior seasons have been acceptable? I don't think having 77m in the bank with no plan to use towards the progression of the club is a clear indication of a board who know what they are at. Bringing back a despised or at best, a clearly divisive figure who a large portion of the fans hate to be chairman 18 months after he resigned is a clear sign of contempt for the fans.

Do you wait for things to get worse before we voice our disapproval? It is not acceptable, it has not been accceptable for years, our manager has papered over the cracks and hidden the mismanagement at boardroom and senior management level but his patience has ran out at this stage. Is what you are saying that we have to wait until things fall apart on the pitch before the fans can finally protest for the change we are long overdue at boardroom level? We have to wait until the season is a write off like the Covid season?

It's the utter contempt the board have for the fans and the sneering arrogance that they seem to possess in that they can get away with anything that is the problem.

Think it's widely agreed we need change.. I've made countless threads over the years about ownership and more fan involvement etc.. DoFs trying to obtain more shares etc and on we go .. every window is the same..

If fans stop going there's another 10 waiting to take their place.

As a fan base we're disconnected and powerless, dont see that any sort of protest would do any good whatsoever.. but if people want to thats their prerogative, they'll be ignored.

Lawwell has been the helm in our most dominant domestic period in our history he's Desmonds man.. and there will be no change until they both decide they've had enough.

Im apathetic now about it, we just repeat ourselves..

So, I remain passionate about supporting the team and see how the new signings bed in..

For the fourth consecutive season, Celtic Park will be packed to the rafters for Flag Day (Sunday, August 3, 2025) as the finest team in Scotland, Celtic, celebrate another league title, the 55th in the club’s history.

Ahead of Sunday’s Flag Day celebrations, the club is delighted to announce that the Maestro, Paul McStay, will return to his beloved Paradise this weekend to unfurl the flag for the champions and kick off season 2025/26.

Paul spent 16 years in the green and white, from the early 1980’s to the mid 1990’s, establishing himself as one of the finest players to have ever graced the hoops and personifying the mantra ‘faithful through and through’.

His time at Celtic saw him rack up almost 700 appearances across all competitions, an extraordinary number which makes him one of the highest appearing Celtic players of all time.

Throughout those years, Paul helped the club to eight major honours, including the iconic league and Scottish Cup double in the club’s Centenary season of 1987/88, arguably Paul’s finest season as a Celt.

In 1995, the Maestro, approaching the end of his playing career, captained Tommy Burns’ Celtic side to Scottish Cup glory, ending a six-year trophy drought and paving the way for a new era at the club.

With everyone at Celtic looking ahead to Flag Day on Sunday and the return of the Maestro to Celtic Park, Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers said: “Paul was a great player. He always gave you hope watching Celtic.

"You always felt that, in those tough times when Celtic maybe suffered a bit, he could produce that moment of magic.

"He was a brilliant player, a really humble guy and I have been fortunate enough to have met him.

“That was a real privilege and a real honour for me. He will get an incredible reception, and it will be amazing to see him again.”

    Superb..

Be good for him to feel the love again at a packed Celtic Park. I remember that charity game last time he was over against United and was barely 30 thousand there..
