It's not that he's dog * it's that he has everything going for him hut he's just too lazy to ue2his natural attributes.

He was a massive part in us winning the league when he joined on loan.

He's definitely not worth the £9m and there's better value out there, although I understand why slwe spent what we did at the time.

I'd look to move on and replace tbh.

Goals aside (which is weird to say for a striker), he really isn't technically good at all.

As for his goals, many (most) of the 20 he got last year came after teams had already been pumped scoring the Red or 5th goals in dominant performances and doing so from the bench.

Rodgers demanded Idah at the price we paid. He's the manager. Should be managing as opposed to throwing his toys out the pram.

Idah has shown he can contribute, he's done that effectively on important occasions. If this is what he's doing for signings he's demanded then that explains our current transfer inactivity.

 

He wanted Idah and backed him as his man when we also had Kyogo. Kyogo who was pushing for a move away at the same time who he made sure to keep. He then used Idah last season to score 20 goals, 3 in the CL, and another CL moment that he was pivotal for the OG to see us qualify the next round.

Also think it was brilliant that just because of the fee, he didn’t place him ahead of Kyogo automatically and it was a fight for the place then afterwards Maeda, who he explicitly had said he wanted on the wing but he used him where was suited and moved him during games knowing he trusted Idah either us starting or coming on and shifting Maeda. And it worked to devastating effect that.

He is backing his man. The backing is being repaid. Think BR will be sure of backing him again and Idah to push on. He doesn’t back him to the extent of just him and unproven options as the others.

 

So not buying into the Italy narrative?
