That was my impression as well. It wishes it was 'The Talented Mr Ripley'

    Just watched it.

Not really sure what I think. Acting was really strong, very pretty to look at, and knowing nothing about it as I watched (only that it was supposed to be controversial) , it felt like the final third was a swerve from where I assumed it was going to go.

It does feel like Ive seen the theme too many times now. The whole depravtity of class stuff has been done plenty of times in a similar way, not sure this is particularly different. But it was enjoyable enough.

    28 Years Later

Thought it was brilliant. The ending was mental but I’m all for it. Sequel is going to be weird but really looking forward to it.

The cast in the sequel is top class.

Watched it last night, bit of a slow start but when it got going was top class. Loved the music and the imagery was unexpected and actually quite funny. The guitarists voice was possibly the best thing in it.

    Agree 8/10

    M3GAN 2.0

How disappointing. The first one was terrific, but this was somewhere between dire and dreadful. Dirivative and revisionary - almost as if just about everyone involved in the writing or direction of this did not bother to sit through the original or thought they had the AI version of T2 on their hands. Gahhh... Seriously, don't waste your time, just go abck and sut through the original M3GAN again than this. :38:

    F1 Movie

Was ok. I get that I'm not the target audience for this, and have no idea if the sort of things that happen throughout the movie actually occur in F1 in RL or not, but it was fine. I do get the distinct impression that the ending to this movie was altered, either after a test screening or studio execs didn't like the original (and pounds to pennies, can almost certainly envisage what that original end was), and went with the easy popcorn end instead.

Not for the faint hearted, a brutal and relentless horror/thriller.

    Fantastic Four: First Steps

Total snoozefest. MCU new benchmark for boring and completely lifeless, with nothing I can think to compliment this film about (although it apparently looks 1960's chic). Humourless and devoid of heart, a dreadful one-dimensional and uninteresting villian, no character development or cast chemistry (everyone seems so bored going through the motions) and never really feel there is any real peril at stake, for the heroes or the general public/world.

Honestly, don't bother and go rewatch The Incredibles instead.

I see they went down the Anchorman 2 route of a million cameos. Never a good idea.

I agree, really enjoyed it. The structure was very odd - transitioned from the usual 28 model to a sort of medieval fantasy type film to something of its own by the end. But it worked and it opens up the franchise.

I agree. Thought it was brilliant

Enjoyed Happy Gilmore 2 tbh. It’s the better of these nostalgia trip sequels we’ve had.

Having all the top golfers in it helped, like Scheffler taking the * out himself.

It went a bit silly and Space Jam 2 in the end but it didn’t take away from it too much.
