Strasbourg not tied in with Chelsea?! You think City would be looking at some sort of guaranteed mins to progress this lads career.

With the amount of money we’re sitting on it’s genuinely * comical we’re going to just develop somebody else’s talent for a year rather than just spend decent money to have our own.

No. Just play Murray as much as possible.

No to loans unless it's a loan to buy, agree though Give Murray games especially Infront of Welsh and Scales

We could just buy someone with the money we have been hoarding instead of developing another teams player for a season lol.

Don’t necessarily get those guaranteed minutes with us though either. He doesn’t come in and replace CCV or trusty. Scales no doubt would be ahead of him in Rodgers pecking order. How often do we sub both centre half’s in a game?

If we do actually get him in on loan I can see Murray being loaned out this year. Stupidity, but something our board/Rodgers wouldn’t be unusual for.

he may end up having a successful career but why do we need to develop him for city for a year? I’d have genuinely rather us give nawrocki warranted game time and sold him for £4-5 mil next year than develop Simpson-Pusey for city to sell him for £11m+ next year.

Most likely means we’ve offered them £150k upfront, along with one of those engraved blocks on Celtic Way.

Calling it now, he’ll come in and be brilliant for us then we’re priced out a permanent move so back to square 1 while also probably losing CCV. So short sighted if there’s no buy option.

It sounds like he is very highly rated by city so I don’t think there is any chance they give us a buy option and even if they did it would be something we wouldn’t pay.

Could offer something similar to what Madrid have been doing, selling quite cheap but with a buy back option.

He looks a brilliant young player, with all the attributes we are seeking in a CB. A loan to buy would be the preferable option, he could well turn out to be the next Van Dijk.

That would give us CCV, Pusey, Scales and Murray, with potentially Trusty being sold.

They don't sell their academy players cheap though. Look at what the likes of Charles, Edozie, Delap, Forbs have gone for in recent years. You'd be looking at a fee of £10-15m for him and there is no way our board will part with that on a player with two professional appearances. We could get the Serbian lad for around half of that.

We need two wingers, a centre half, central midfielder and arguably a striker and we'll have none in before the season starts. * hour but what is new?

Get all that and agree. Makes it a pointless loan unless theres an an option or obligation to buy..

I know some are desperate for us to sign a centre half, but I think Trusty will be given the start of this season to try and nail down the place, and I think he has just about earned that opportunity to be honest. Aye he had a few poor games domestically, but he had good games too, including Europe which has been touched on already. I'd be content with that and a loan for cover like this deal. The main issue is the winger situation. It's a shambles in all honesty. That's leading to frustration amongst the support, and rightly so.
