Up with the family for a wedding the day before. Taking my boy to the game. Shebeen in Hamilton on the Sunday at 12 before heading in to the bowling club by ground for a few as well..

Just minutes after the Scottish cup final you told fans that Yang would be in with a chance of starting the first league game of the new season they would be probably saying no way but here we are just 5 days away and you can see our transfer window so far is a * disgrace.

Im looking forward to it, not see a single ball being kicked in pre-season so interested in what the new guys look like.

Yang must start for me as well, as sometimes we get zero from Maeda on a wing, so the other winger will need to do quite a bit and Forrest i'd want more coming off the bench than starting and nothing happeneing with then pressure on Yang to do something.

Only good thing is with limited wide players the now Tierney will be a breath of fresh air as he's always delivered quality into the box, if he stays mostly fit i'd be looking for about 15 assists off him this season.

I'd pick that, throw Inamura into the deep end after not playing him there to see how he gets on.

 

We may see Nygren tried on the right at some stage, as he may need to play there.. and can play there..

 

Suspect Idah and Engles will start.

Interested to see whether he goes with Scales or Trusty. Id guess Trusty.

 

Would love that team from what we have to pick from ,front 3 pacey ,tricky and direct, Nygren picking out the runs and creating .
In reality it will be Engels doing 30 yard one- twos with CBs and Idah sclaffing lay offs . "Done a shift ".

 

The officials have been revealed for Celtic's clash with St Mirren this weekend.


The Parkhead club begin the defence of their title on Sunday as they welcome Stephen Robinson's men to Glasgow's east end.

As is tradition on the reigning champions' first home matchday of the campaign, the league flag will be unfurled before kick-off.

Regarding the game itself, Don Robertson will take charge of proceedings.

David Roome and Craig Ferguson will run the lines, with Greg Aitken on VAR duties. Graeme Leslie is the AVAR official.

 

I think you will probably be right with Idah and Engels starting. Maybe Nygren even starts on the right we will see. Think it will be Trusty who gets the nod over Scales and hopefully CCV is good to start and maybe plays 60-65 minutes as he works his way back to fully match fitness.

 

Unfortunately think Idah will start. Otherwise the team picks itself.

Would love to see this team. Maeda and Nygren swapping flanks at times. Flexibility is good. Nygren dropping back to play in the hole and have a front two of Maeda and Shin

 

Can't see AJ and CCV starting..

 

We desperately need a good display and hopefully a good solid victory to take our minds off all the transfer saga * going on. I dread the atmosphere if we play like we did in the last week's of last season (especially the cup final) and those on the comfy seats could be in for a rough afternoon. I hate to say it for the first game of the season, but any win will do
