You're just reading what you want to read. I literally posted a quote from Rodgers saying he sees Yang as an important member of the squad, and you're reading it as important first team starter. Actual difinative quotes being spun to suit an agenda fs.

Fact is Yang is a guy who is improving and has a place in the squad, and folk can't handle it because they've spent two year saying he's pish.

Pretty pathetic really.

 

He's not the starting quality we need obviously but I'm not against him as a squad player, we've definitely had worse as backup.

He won’t be happy for a second that Yang is the best we have on the right. He should be third choice if we were run properly.

 

Personally I rate Forrest RW higher than him, Maeda as well but he’s the best option all 3 positions up top at the moment with Jota’s injury he’s on the left so doesn’t count.

Not seen Nygren on the wing yet where he’s played most of his career but I’d probably hazard a guess he’s a guy I’d rate there more as well.

So I’d say he’s probably 4th best option I’d have there at the moment. 2 of them are earmarked other positions though and that’s the problem. Happy as * having Yang kick about the team filling in and a squad member though. Was a cracking finish for him last night, thought he was good that first half.

You’re spot on that he won’t be happy if he goes into September with the window shut without having brought in quality up there though. He’s been pretty consistent about that.

 

Don't know what half you * are reading on here, but what I read like smacked of "* else am i to do?? Weve no one else ffs. Aye hes getting a bit better, scored a good goal, but sell him? And replace him with what exactly? A Tupac hologram?".

He was being complimentary yes, par for the course when a manager is literally relying on a player through lack of options.

I’m only reading what he said though not heard it, did he say first team or squad?

The outrage for him on here at the moment is just bias carrying on from last season. In terms of our front 3, he's actually been our best attacking player in preseason. Granted its not a high bar. Idah has been woeful. Maeda has looked well below the standard he set last season. Forrest isn't looking up to much. Tilio has done nothing. Based on form alone Yang and Kenny are really the only two I'd say have looked decent. And that in itself is a problem as the standard of play from our attacking players just now is nowhere near good enough. We are woefully short of wide options. Totally short up front. Idah looks awful, Osmand hasn't featured in 3 games now, Kenny has been ok and Yamada is a total unknown. With the league kicking off for us in 9 days I am really ticked off with our summer recruitment. However, the hate for Yang on here is just simply unwarranted. Its not his fault the squad is in the shape its in.
