    Tall Asian Defensive Midfielder.

There's been complaints about the lack of height in our team, and we just sold a potential solution. I'm a proponent of giving anyone 5 games to prove themselves. Shame the manager isn't.

We're not selling a potential solution.

    We're selling Kwon.

The manager has seen him in training. If he’s not good enough for us in training then it’s not going to suddenly change on the pitch.

Iwata was a mile ahead of him as a player and he still hardly got any minutes because we just never play a proper DM, good luck to him if he's away, but Jolly Boy Kwon was never going to be a 'potential solution' to anything for us just because he's got a bit of height. Bizarre take.

I agree with you about giving players a chance.

But Kwon had two good loans in our league and couldn’t even prove himself there.

It’s great to see how good a job we’re doing in clearing out the players brought in during the disastrous window of two summers ago. The board deserve full credit. It really puts us in the best possible position to ensure we’re able to make the same mistakes again next year.

To be fair I never saw him had a bad report when he did play. Just didn’t seem to play much! He’ll definitely go make a career for himself somewhere, just didn’t expect it to be a league above ours! Hahaha

It might! Real games are way different than training.

Honestly this post is moronic beyond belief. Kwon couldn't secure a regular first team place at either St Mirren or Hibs! He is 24 years old, not 19. Rodgers knows more about Kwon's abilities than you ever will and if you still don't trust him to spot a player, then I don't know what to tell you.

Rodgers hasn't had a great record in spotting defensive players, actually.

He got a belt of a shoulder in the Wolves friendly that he’s still recovering from.

FC Nantes and Celtic FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hyeokkyu Kwon. The South Korean has signed a three-year contract (June 2028) with the Canaries.

Born on March 13, 2001, in Busan, South Korea, Hyeokkyu Kwon made his professional debut at Busan IPark, where he also made his professional debut. In March 2021, the defensive midfielder was loaned to Gimcheon Sangmu, before returning to his former club in September 2022. In the summer of 2023, he arrived in Europe, more precisely in Scotland, to play for Celtic FC. Hyeokkyu Kwon will not play any matches with the Glasgow club, as he will be loaned back to back to St Mirren FC and then to Hibernian FC during the 2024/2025 season.

A defensive midfielder with an impressive build (1.92m), Hyeokkyu Kwon is strong in duels, but also very technically gifted since he is as comfortable with his right foot as with his left. He will strengthen the Nantes midfield, an area that has seen several departures during this transfer window.

    Interesting move for him.

No idea what Nantes are like, but if he can get decent game time there in Ligue 1 that's not bad going.

Anyone aware of what we might have made out of this deal?

One of those signings you just knew would be classed as deadwood almost immediately same as Tillio and what I fear Inamura will become
