Neither of those players has done badly... Their "fault" is that they didn't do the "more" that people wanted them to do to "justify" the price tags. And in general, that's not an unfair question to ask, given we all know they could have done better, but it's a * stick to beat them with when they can both hold up decent numbers for their contributions...

They can be better, without being *... Not sure why some are choosing not to see that!

I agree we could've gotten better for the money but ultimately it was one of the rare times the board pushed to boat out to back the manager in what he wanted. The lad didn't decide his own transfer fee and I think there's a large space between a bona fide £10m player and pish. He falls closer to the former than the latter, imo.

 

I actually saw him in the Hogan Stand on Sunday. Was getting mobbed by a load of Tipp and Cork kids.

 

£9m and Norwich can have Yang and Idah back.

He just isn't for me..

The amount of times he can't lay the ball of simply and either underhits it or * it completely, is criminal..

The amount of times the ball comes in to him and he gets bodied like a wee wean is pathetic for his size..

His first touch is terrible..

Just stands out far too often for the wrong reasons..

 

You just keep hoping he can put it all together and you see progression but instead he just seems to get more inconsistent and more frustrating. He's such a criminal waste of good attributes.

 

He seems to do better in our half other than the oppositions last couple of games but that's probs tactics as a decent outlet for Schmeichel.

 

He's looked slightly better the night but still not clicking for him. Really needs a big performance soon, as opposed to just goals.

 

I have always backed him up on here from day 1. Now I'm losing faith bigtime. He doesn't look like he is progressing. We need a better striker/target man
