If we haven't even "came forward" it means we watched him, maybe even made a drive-thru window enquiry, then backed off.

We are just likely "monitoring" too see if we can get him for a couple of mil.

The fact that his agent dropped us by name, is also very desperate looking.

    This ones tatey bread

You know when you can tell a mile away that a player is not Celtic quality and will never make it here. This is exactly the vibe I have on this one.

    Very hard pass. Next.

Its a weird one! A couple of weeks ago, I heard its a deal thats very close to being finalised and now it seems cold. No news in weeks between us and the player/club.

Not too fused as I continuously stated on here, when fit defo an upgrade. But the staying fit bit is an issue. So it was always a ‘rather not’ for me.

Aye seems like we asked about him as an option start of the window and that’s it, probably further down the list than we realise.

Celtic are set to up the ante to try to finally seal a move for Michel-Ange Balikwisha.

The Hoops have been in talks with club officials at Royal Antwerp to land the winger over multiple weeks.

Antwerp boss Stef Wils admitted publicly at the weekend that his star man wanted to make the move to the Premiership champions.

The issue is that Celtic’s offers so far have been below the Belgian side’s valuation but the Hoops are hoping that a deal can be struck somewhere in between and are pushing for the outcome.

They also know Balikwisha is in the last year of his contract and if they don’t sell in this window they his value will plummet.

Celtic have been keen on the 24-year-old for more than a year and were ready to move before he suffered his last injury.

Celtic have already sold Nicolas Kuhn to Italian side for more than £17 million to further boost the club's coffers. Balikwisha operates primarily on the left wing and his signing would be a statement of intent days after Brendan Rodgers appealed for added firepower in the final third with Jota missing until 2026.

Balikwisha's agent Jibril Rekkab – speaking exclusively to Record Sport – was keen to play it cool. However, we understand Celtic are primed to strike. Rekkab said: "Michel-Ange is not closed to the idea of joining Celtic, but the club would still have to come forward. No discussions are underwa

I might be wrong but I really think we are not interested in him now. The deal would have been done by now

Not even seen him play on YouTube , just going by stats and his recent injury... Plus also the fact he is clearly down the list of targets.

I think we are all kinda guessing at this stage. I had thought he was down the list too but then he has been continually linked for 18 months so evidently we have scouted him intensely.

But I do find the reaction to his potential signing a bit OTT given on paper he has the most experience and pedigree of any winger we've been linked with. Champions league and europa experience, title winner in Belgium and was showing consistent form end of last season.

He's definitely worth a punt for anything south of £4.5m imo.

He also won't be the only one we sign.

He got an injury. The same folk will be waiting on tierneys first injury to scream they told us so. Mismanagement etc. Not that he'll be an excellent signing.

I can kind of see it from the value side of things , and can understand the signing in general. Still definitely a few red flags , not heard a peep about other clubs interested either
