We need 2 wingers absolute minimum. As I keep saying, I think we need 3. But won't get that.

Jota is out for most of this season, wouldn't be including him as an option. He's a bonus for me, at this point.

Forrest is 34 and known for an injury or two. Plus i just dont think he has a double figures goals and assists season in him. Yang could also still go and isn't exactly reliable. It's very bleak there at the moment and considering its a huge position for how we play, it needs depth.

Would also add that Kuhn with 21 goals and 15 assists will arguably need 2 players to come in and contribute that. Be doing well if we sign someone who can get close on their own. Similar to how we are probably looking at a couple to replace Kyogos input.

Not convinced by Sinsalo at all, probably fine for backup keeper but he flaps at crosses and his distribution is miles off Kaspers.

    Baffling.

Neither of those concerns are even close to reality.

I think Sinisalo looks more than decent in what we've seen.

Take it you didn't watch him last season then? Was very poor for the goals against St Johnstone and Kilmarnock last season. He's an ok backup but I'd be worried about him being no 1. He also resorts to hoofing the ball a lot which Schmeichel doesn't.

He was absolutely fine last season. Deserved to keep his place when Schmeichel returned from injury.

His passing from the back is good. Very calm and clean most of the time. The occasional longer pass is essential when you're trying to pass out from the back with Scales, Ralston, Taylor, Trusty etc. Nothing wrong with it.

Schmeichel's distribution noticeably regressed over the course of the season.

Could argue that dropping Sinisalo contributed to us losing the cup final. He's also the best no. 2 keeper we've had at Celtic in my time.

I disagree. Think he looked very iffy at times, not a bombscare or anything but he wouldn't fulfil me as our no 1. It also helped him that he came in at a time when there was little at stake. For me he was poor on 2 of the 3 goals he let in and on crosses I think he flaps at a lot of them. Really needs to work on getting a bit of distance on whatever he is coming for.

His distribution being miles off Kaspers isn't exactly damning...KS is genuinely elite in that regard. That aside, his distribution has been at a good level, very unfair comparison that.

As for the rest of his game, don't think at his age we should be expecting prime Buffon, he's still learning. Another season under Kasper and he'll be more than ready to step in.

Honestly don't think I've seen anyone have an issue with Sinisalo bar you, am pretty surprised at it really.

I don't think there is any argument in that.

It was the one error of judgement that Brendan made in the entire season for sentimental reasons.
There is an old saying " There is no sentiment in business ". The same applies in football.

    I'm not worried about Sinisalo.

I am the exact opposite. I'm more worried about Schemeichel.

Who's asking for one right now? We have a soon to be 39 year old goalkeeper in the final year of his contract, all I've said its something we should be prioritsing as a matter of urgency when this current window closes. Forward planning is something Celtic don't do very well, if at all.

We've knew Kuhn was leaving since last season and still no replacement.. on top of needing reinforcement for the absence of Jota.

    Predictable.

It's exactly what we done last year bringing Sinisalo in with Schmeichel :56:

He may have but that worries me and would be yet another example of the board gambling and trying to do things on the cheap rather than addressing it properly.

He has played 6 games for us. Every other senior club appearance he has made have been in the Scottish Championship and English League One. People thought Luis Palma was a player after his first 6 appearances for us. I feel it would be negligent for us not to be addressing this issue we know is coming down the line but it is Celtic and we don't do forward planning.

Sinisalo was brought in as a backup keeper though. Not as our no 1. If Schmeichel goes we need a new no 1. I don't think Sinisalo has shown that yet, maybe 6 games at the tail end of last season when the league was wrapped up has convinced you but it didn't convince me. This club doesn't do forward planning though. We have Kuhn out the door, no replacement lined up, we had Kyogo out the door 7 months ago, no replacement lined up yet. So it doesn't surprise me that we won't do it but it should us fans.

I certainly must have watched a different keeper than you guys last season. He did ok but I felt he looked a significant downgrade on Schmeichel.
