I dont get this one at all. 22 goals in 113 games is pretty bad and he is super injury prone

They are fairly solid numbers. 22 league goals in 113 league games, 29 goals in 140 in all comps....so a goal every 5 games roughly.

Compare them with Jota and Kuhn before we signed them.

Jota, 1 in 40 league games, 2 in 51 in all comps.
Kuhn 5 in 36 league games, 7 in 51 in all comps. Rouhly a goal every 7 games.

Compare it with Forrest.
336 league appearances 73 goals
528 all comps, 109 goals
Roughly 1 in 5.

I think he's a decent squad option if we sign him. I'd much prefer Orjasaeter as I feel he has that kind of X factor where he can leave players for dead but Balikwish would be a good squad option I feel. Apparently his pressing is very good too which might make him a good fit. Injury record certainly a concern.

 

If hes been signed as a squad player then not the worst move on paper. Although 5m would seem a bit steep for a back up.

If hes being signed as a first team competitor, then its far from inspiring, and his injury record is extremely worrying.

As many others have said, he looks like option B, maybe even option C territory.

I think the sooner it gets done the easier we can rest. If hes signed near the end of the window it means we he was way further down the list than we anticipated.

 

I think a lot of people's expectations are low because there is only one YouTube video and its *. There are lots of decent goals he has scored for Antwerp in the Belgian league that aren't included in that video. So I think he is a lot better than we give him credit for.

He seems to be very well round, he has no real standout attribute but he seems solid in all areas, decent pace and power for a winger, decent technical ability along with end product. He also seems to capable of covering on the right. If there is a more high profile winger arriving also I'm more on board with this. £5m is not big money, if there are better available then by all means go for them but I think we need to be begin to act with urgency, the qualifiers are only around the corner.

Looks one paced, no particularly skillful or comfortable beating a man. His injury record is a shambles as well..

I feel like when we were first linked with him everyone was giving it "aye get him in what a player".

The closer it's been getting to finalising though it seems the narrative has turned to "doesn't look that great".

So frustrating.

 

If he's one of three signings (left winger, right winger, striker) I'm buzzing.

If he's signed to play wide right, we've got a problem

 

Is he not just back up to Jota (when fit) and Maeda? I actually think Maeda is better through the middle but Idah or Shin look like they are going to be centre forward?

 

Where is it being reported we are actually signing him?
